Well its been confirmed, they're still looking to move up to FCS

Exactly! i don't see why this is being overlooked.

I don't think it has been overlooked. This was discussed in another thread 2 or 3 weeks ago. They have very poor facilities as well. They really need to do something with that.............

Bama State averaged more than 14k per home game last season. TN St averaged less than 12K.

I stand corrected with Bama State. They did average more fans then TnSU last season.
You can call me whatever you want. But the fact remains most of you swac posters (including you) over exaggerate when it comes to attendance.
You posted TnSu “pathetic” home numbers vs. Peay, MSU and SEMO. I say we all have a dwindling fan bases. Only 16K came out to watch the two best teams in BCF last season between TnSU and BCU with BCU’s 5 million member marching band.
Keep it simple. With your logic that TNSU fans only want to watch other black colleges. ¿¿¿¿¿¿ Please explain to me why only 3 SWAC schools averaged more fans than TSU?????? Last time I checked SWAC schools play homecoming games also. Side note 1 of the 3 had a shiny new stadium.

So why do SU, JSU, and Bama State have better attendance numbers than TNSU? They seem to be at around the same level in terms of enrollment.

This answer should be interesting. He really expect a tiny church school to fill up their stadium though it was their largest home game minus homecoming. :emlaugh:

Simple. JSU and SU have larger fan bases, It's always been like that. Bama State had a brand new stadium. I'll be going to Montgomery mainly to check out their new stadium. I think the game is going to be a blowout.

No I didn't expect BCU to bring a lot of people. I expected more of our casual fans to show up. The JMC is always the second largest home game. Nothing new here. Since I've become a tiger in 95 only one school brought a very large group of fans to Nashville where the game had over 30k and that's FAMU in 96. AAMU and Bama State brought large crowds but nothing like FAMU. I know when we played Bama State in the JMC there was a large crown but that was the 1st JMC and L.C.'s return to Nashville. Bama St. brought some fans but no more than Bama A&M.

¿You still didn't answer my question mane?

Let's stop playing semantics here. (so to speak) When it comes to attendance for every LSU there's a Vanderbilt, for every LaTech there's a Tulane and for every JaxState there's TNSU in every conference.

Not sure what your question is. Your fans have spoken loud and clear. Your home average against PWC minus homecoming and HBCU(s) is 6348. That is outright embarrassing and atrocious.

K. So where are you going with all of this???

Seems like the White folks don't want to play in Nashville either. That's even MORE embarassing. The visitors side during Tenn. State games has to be a lonely place.

I say go for it if you want it but that stadium will be embarrassing when they host visiting D1 teams.
(And bring recruits to the yard)
also, welcome to the world of APR. They better think this through and plan accordingly lol

Like I told ya'll before:

If Tuskegee has an official plan that is well organized and legit, a move to the FCS ranks are very feasible. Tuskegee is a smart institution with smart alumni and they will not fall to the victim of writing a check that their budget can't cash. I look forward to seeing Tuskegee being a major player in the East division of the SWAC. Some of you who believe that they have a bunch of dummies on their athletic teams and won't be able to recruit to compete in the FCS ranks don't have a clue of what you are talking about. Those few on this board who are around the NCAA business know better.

Hey Tennessee State!

Stay away from this crab pot! You don't know how depressing it is to be in a conference that showcases attendance rankings over APR rankings.

Spoken like someone who doesn't know how Tuskegee University works. There is nothing special that makes them a smart institution. Booker T. & George W. ain't walking through those doors...

Bring Em' On!!! Unlike others, I believe in the product on the field. Competition breeds improvement. TN State and/or Langston can come too. Running from competition makes you a coward. Embrace it and it will make you reach upward levels of achievement previously not thought of.

So where did you get this from in this thread? No one is scared of Tuskegee or TNSU.

Right, I am sure SEC and Big 12 fans only care about their APR rankings.

Spoken like someone who knows nothing about academic rankings and history. Your "smart institution" quote shows your ignorance to this topic.

What does the academic history of the school have to do with the fact that Comegy and Slater have made a living at that school recruiting a bunch of players who would not qualify to play at the FCS level? Do you remember what happened when Comegy first got to JSU from Skegee?
