Kanye West Says He, Kim Kardashian More Influential Than Obamas

:|

Do you all understand what the word influential means?

Kim Kardashian hasn't influenced me to do a damn thing nor has Kanye West. There is a subset of the population who watches her shows, buys his music and goes to his concerts. That is the extent of their "influence". Beyond that, I can't see what shift in behavior they've caused.

Kanye needs to sit his trying to turn a ho into a housewife ass down.

This clown is running around in jeans, t-shirts and gym shoes talking about he's fashionable.

A subset that is considered substandard when it comes to thinking intelligent or technological innovators.

In a positive way? :retard: When I see Kim I see a thirsty woman getting pregnant while married to someone else. If that is influential I guess the world is in bad shape.

She took that moiney and made a hustle of it by not focusing on that sex tape but getting a tv show and then creating an "affordable" clothing & perfume line. She has made it to where you can actually forget about that sex tape with Ray J.

While Ray J tried to milk as long as he could and now you really forget about him.

Not too many of our young people see Bill Gates as one of their role models they would like to follow, but there are millions of wannabe rappers trying to be like individuals like Kanye West.

Because Bill Gates doesn't do what dumb rappers and jocks do-show off what he has 24/7. You won't see his house on MTV Cribs or Bravo or VH1 or BET.

He's not out spending money like there is no tomorrow. He does all his stuff behind the scenes. Including recruiting Latinos for scholarships for college while helping in the funding of charter schools in the hood.

That's the difference. Now what has Kayne done? Encourage black males to quit college or school and try to be a rapper instead of something more useful? Or waste money on clothes? Or show your nuts on Tumblr?

At least Kim has tossed out clothing that is affordable.

Kanye and Kim may some influence but original statement was they are more have influence than the Obamas, that's BS.

You are so right, which is why I told Kendrick that it is so unfortunate that a lot of young people see Kanye as a role model. Nothing he has done can generate substantial long term wealth.

If you examine Kanye's background, dude is basically a self-made entity who is a jack-of-all trades when it comes to the arts. Obviously his current persona isn't one kids should probably emulate, but Kanye really worked his way up the ladder to become a musical genius.

Your key phrase is "jack-of-all trades", which means he has not master or control anything. Kanye' really hasn't done much of anything that would teach his followers/fan base on how to control their own destiny.

Do you honestly think Kanye' and Kim has more influential power with the approximately 7 billion people worldwide than the Obamas? Kanye' and Kim barely have the power to keep little ignorant azz Ray J. out of their sex life.

I don't think that's true.

and I love Michelle Obama but really, what has she influenced? She let them turn her into a betty homemaker after Barack took office. The only high profile thing she has really spearheaded since being FLOTUS is that childhood obesity initiative. She did what Hillary was not willing to do.

Kanye is a master producer and he dropped 2 classic albums.

Really????? So he invented the skill of production. Those two classic albums happen because there were others involved, such as digital technology companies. He probably spends more than he makes, but since he generates millions, the people that are supporting him, make sure he is well catered to. But once he is no longer ability to generate the millions, those same folks that are catering to him now will drop him like a hot cake and will move on to someone else. It's a never ending cycle that goes from generation to generation. The only things that changes are the people that each generation idolizes.

I just said he mastered it and that he is a creative genius. Nothing more, nothing less. I care not what he does with his money nor what dummy decides to drop out of school because Kanye dropped out of school or buy one of kanye's $125 tshirts. I am simply commenting on his talent and originality.

If you're talking quantity, then he's be right. But if it were a matter of quality, the FLOTUS, be they current and/or past has her beat by light-years.

Delusions of grandeur aren't always a good thing to have.

In that case, when has any FLOTUS had any influential power other than sleeping with the most powerful man on earth? I'm sure you are not saying Kim Kardashian has more influential power than Michelle Obama since she sleeps with Kanye'. I really can tell that young people of today are totally confused when it comes to realizing true power. Kanye is an EMOTIONAL feel good artist that is currently well liked by young people of today, whereas President Obama can write a bill and push it into law that could have a changing effect on generations to come, such as the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare.

Right now, ACA is a colossal muck up and the bill was trepid. He should have went single payer but that is apples and oranges. FDR pushed through more significant legislation in his first 100 days than Obama or any other recent president pushed through in an entire term if you want to be honest.

and Michelle did not have to take that role. Hillary Clinton was out there battling on the front lines for healthcare reform. Michelle is a very accomplished lawyer. They made her into this homemaker image that basically ignores the fact that she built a nice career before coming into the white house.

Why did FUBU (For Us By Us) was so short lived? I'll tell you why. Although they were very creative, they didn't control enough of their market to maintain a long time successful career. Once that feel good demand for their clothing line lost its popularity, they could no long afford to pay their supplier to maintain a profitable business. Kanye's is no Nike, where he can control every aspect of his clothing line and I mean every aspect, such as raw material and shipping cost.

After Fubu fell off in America, they started selling in Africa. The fashion industry is just like the music industry, a few people experience longetivity but most come and go. Personally, I would never buy anything that Kanye makes but I don't buy trends anyway. I tend to shop classics. I still rock Johnston and Murphy shoes because they haven't let me down and get the job done.

But Kanye' is no Phil Knight, chairman and co-founder of Nike. He is just lucky that the current generation like what he does. He has very little power in the clothing industry. If Kanye' could gain control of the raw material, manufacturing, and shipping of his clothing line, then I'll say Kanye' has gained some influential power. But like Kendrick said earlier, he's a jack of all trades, but master of none.

FDR was white and not fighting against people who thinks he is a Nikker and monkey from the jungle. Why is it so hard for independents and black republicans to see that white people still think we a monkeys in the jungle?

Look man, yall need to stop with the nikker talk and the red neck dumb crack head Rush and Hannity talk. This website stuff comes down to dollars and sense. Obstruction of funds is what killed the ACA. What company with business sense was gonna put funding into a website not knowing if it was gonna get fully funded. The republicans challenged this bill sixty thousand times and companies were scared they were not gonna get their money back if they put man hours toward this bill. When will you folks use reality and realize that these crackers are doing everything they can to not only harm Obama but to hurt all of our black azzes. The reason the employment in the AA community is so bad is because white folks in their evil minds have a war going on with black people. One would be crazy to think the average white male is not worried about losing power in this country and being second class to minorities. This thing will work, but the problem is it takes money to make it work. Man hours cost and no one was gonna be willing to see if the funds were gonna be there. The money got turned on at the last minute. I don't know if you folks know how government contracts work, but ask companies like Lockheed, Boeing and Raytheon. The reason their stocks are up is because they have found a way to pimp this system. They tell the repubs ok cut my funding, I will lay off high paid jobs. When the repubs wouldn't pass the funding bill last year, Boeing CEO told them ok don't worry we will send out 150K lay off notices to folks making 70-150K. you see how quick they passed that bill.

The only thing about ACA that is screwed up is the website. People can still sign up over the phone or mail. The website was not properly tested, and really there was no way to test it for the volume it received on the first day. When Apple or Microsoft muck up a rollout yall chalk it up as a usual iteration before improvements. When a government IT rollout has an issue the entire sky is falling.

Also, there are some Black people that actually think Kanye' West would be a better POTUS than President Obama just because he dropped out of school and mastered the ability to sell rap music and clothes to an very unwise generation of people.

Cee,
The big problem is that rushed all of this implementation because of political pressure to have stuff out by 2014. Politics got in the way of policy. Also, I don't see young people signing up for the service. I hope I am wrong but I honestly think ACA will be a big headache for a while before everything gets straightened out.

Actually FDR and the President came into power in similar situations and both had majorities in House and Senate.
