Mayweather vs. Canelo

Damn lol... ali in how many rounds?

You can't make the comparison because they are different weight classes (they would never get in the ring because the weight difference is too much). You have to compare Money with Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler (boxers of that ilk).

But about the fight...Floyd had Canelo confused all fight long. He is physically talented and pretty smart, but no where near the level of Floyd. The only two peopled who could have beaten Floyd was Cotto or Mosley, and they were past their prime when they fought. Hell the only reason Canelo was even on this stage or level was because of how he be Shane, and the only reason that happened was because Shane was over the hill, but you could tell in that fight that Shane was far more the superior technical boxer, but was not able to carry out what his mind was telling him to do due to age and miles on his body.

I guess the only interesting fight out there for me involving Floyd is one that will NEVER happen and that is Mayweather and Brohner. And I say that will never happen because Brohner is to busy following Floyd around like a puppy. He is to busy being Floyd's understudy/cheap remake....

In all reality there is no other fight for him and he will finish this deal with Showtime undefeated.....
I have to respectfully disagree. There is not another junior middleweight that can beat Canelo, IMO. Sergio Martinez at middleweight or super middleweight can beat Canelo. Maybe Danny Garcia. But not many. Canelo is a damn good fighter. There's just nobody boxing that can touch Floyd. Period!!! He is as dominant as Roy Jones ever was (without the KOs), but Roy was never the boxer that Floyd was. Roy was straight athleticism. Floyd is that kinda athleticism with impeccable boxing skills. Put it this way, Floyd is what Ali was before he got exiled and had to sit out for 3 years. Floyd is the welterweight Sugar Ray Robinson, before 100 fights and old age made him normal.

And Brohner is too small.

I believe you would have to go back much further to find someone to beat Money Mayweather. I am thinking Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Hit Man Thomas Hearns would be the only ones that would present a challenge to Money. As far as I'm concerned Floyd Money Mayweather is an active boxer that is a legend.......

I saw on one occasion Money moved out of the corner, Canelo was swinging while Money was looking at him. Then Money looked at Canelo after he finished swinging and cut his eyes towards the corner as if to say....What are you swinging at man? I kid you NOT! :emlaugh:
You'd have to go to the all time greats to find someone that could beat Floyd, and that may not happen still. Floyd has a defensive skill not even Hagler, Hearns, Leonard or Duran possessed. Interesting fights. Hard to predict.

I have to agree with you.....One can only speculate and it's a possibility that Money would beat them all. I've studied a few of my old boxing tapes with those older legends and I can't call it.

Having seen all those guys fight each other. I couldn't call it, either. I couldn't call it if we had predict rematches between them, with the lone exception of Hearns-Duran. After seeing that destruction, I don't see how Duran would do much better.

I saw that too Canelo hit the ropes

I had a fight party at my crib and I kid you not when he did that everybody bussed out laughing.

Floyd is the welterweight Sugar Ray Robinson, before 100 fights and old age made him normal.

This I'm not too sure about because Ray Robinson had the defense, skills, and knockout power. Not to mention he was fighting darn near every other week in an outside ring in 95 degree heat and you had to take on all comers according to rank. I'd put Mayweather right below Sugar Ray Robinson.

That was a "classic" moment. It's like he was talking with his eyes: "There must be a ghost in that corner he is fighting with, because I am no where near where he is swinging." :emlaugh:

Canelo should have gotten his hair stylist trim his bangs back before the fight. Half of those punches Mayweather landed, I bet Canelo didn't see them coming.

And not good enough.

Life is good for Money Mayweather these days............He won 200K this weekend on Johnny Football's 1st half performance:

His advisor bragged about how Mayweather will never go broke because he has too much Money. Betting like this will get him there.

True.............lol Hopefully he has trust and education funds for all of his children and he has put some away to help him live comfortably during his old age (which is a rarity for many professional athletes).

where are you disagreeing with me at....just asking cause i agree with all that you said...

I believe you intimated that Canelo really didn't deserve to be in the fight. I was stating that Canelo was the best fighter anywhere near Floyd's weight, unless Money moved up to Middleweight/Super Middleweight. But Floyd is a true welterweight, going that high might be a bit too much. When I say Canelo was the best, that means there isn't another welterweight or junior middleweight that can beat him.

yea Robber, again I agree with you....I may not have been clear but I am saying the same thing you are saying....Canelo is very good and was the one big fight left out there for Floyd. But there is no other fight out there for him to fight that the fans would say I wonder how this is gonna turn out...from now on when you buy a Mayweather fight it will only to be to see a Hall of Famer fight, not to see a Boxing match. There is no one left, except Broner and again that will never happen. He is content to being the 2nd coming and waiting until Floyd steps down and he will try and get the crown then....

Man but could you imagine Floyd vs Lenard, Hagler, Hearns, or even Whitaker. With each being in their prime...WOW!

There is still interest in Pacquaio, but it depends on the outcome with Rios. Pac-man clearly beat Bradley and was off to a unanimous decision against Marquez before the knockout. His defense was always questionable, which is why FM would will easily - nonetheless still be an entertaining fight. Personally, I do not want to see a FM / Bradley or Khan fight. My bet is Paquiao, Garcia, Khan (in London because they will fill thier stadium), and another catchweight fight.
