Seven FCS teams cash in via upsets

Regarding my Golden Lions, I didn't take what was said in offense (I've heard worse). But I posted what I did to dis-spell any false accusations and possible ignorant assumptions.

And yes, I plan to be in Lake Charles this Saturday (God willing).

I mainly was curious about what was going on and whether or not the players would be back for the game this weekend. If so, great. I'd rather both teams be at full strength for the game.

If you do make back to the game and get there early enough Saturday, come by our tailgate as Jay mentioned. If the Geauxcowboys.com banner is not up (sometimes Tailgateguy forgets to bring it) it is located at spots 14 & 16 inside the Westside Reserved Tailgating that is just outside the left field wall of the baseball stadium. Our spot is on the first road inside the tailgate area. The numbers for the spots are painted on the road. Just tell them you are Lioness from the SWAC board and you are looking for Doc. If I'm out taking photos in the tailgate area, the guys at our spot will locate me. I don't know what the menu is for the first game, but I can find you plenty of food and drink in the tailgate areas. We love to host opposing teams' fans, so bring your friends.

And, if you could bring me a UAPB hat for opponents hat wall, I would appreciate it and would gladly pay you for it. If not, I'm sure I can find somewhere to order one online.

Have a nice trip down and enjoy yourselves.

And Jay is really a nice guy. He just loves to argue and debate. He shoulda been a lawyer.

:-)

How you doing Lioness, nice to meet you.

I'm tired of Jay's sparring with the Southern fans and glad to see you here.

You coming down for the game?

Do you know where I can get a UAPB hat for the opponent hat wall in my office?

I'm very well, thank you.

If you want a hat for your wall, you can buy one from the UAPB bookstore or any vendor that sells UAPB apparel. I believe there may be information on our website that will direct you to our school bookstore.

What's with the picture of the shotgun? Is that why you asked if I was coming down to Lake Charles?

96lioness,

You better check to see if LSU's game is at the same time, because if it is, you and probably a few other Golden Lion fans would be the only ones sitting in Cowpoke stadium. They graduate from McNeese to become a Diehard LSU Fan.

Nah, that is not a shotgun but an old Winchester saddle rifle that was used a lot in the old west. It was posted to say that the Cowboys weren't afraid of lions after the pictures you posted and were well equipped to handle them.

It was just a weak attempt at a joke and is not a threat. :)

96,

You might do better giving them the link, since they do not know how to do in-depth internet research.

You know that shiiiiit is really getting old. After the win this past Saturday, I expect a very good turnout no matter when the LSU game is.

Hiding behind Lioness's skirt, eh? Tis okay, we've come to expect that from Southern ;)

My bad, but you know those LSU Far West aka McNeese fans are always stating incorrect stuff. LSU Far West/McNeese forgot to teach them how to do in-depth research.

I'm sure the LSU faithful would call what is in bold blasphemy. :emlaugh:

Very nice! You live up to your reputation.

At the time, I was in Pine Bluff there was hardly anybody in Lake Charles because it was right after Hurricane Rita and the National Guard had roadblocks up keeping anybody (without proper credentials) from coming back.

There sure are a lot of Texas folks who like to come to the Lake Charles area and give their money away to the casinos. Also, a lot of people come in for the hunting and fishing in Southwest LA.

To be honest, we really didn't look too hard for something to do in Pine Bluff. We were more concerned with watching the weather channel and news to get any information of the damage back home. We did find a nice little park that was close to some golf course and some water and had a nice little cookout.

The worst part of the evacuation was the trip up in the evacuation traffic. It took us 22 hours to get from Sulphur, LA to Pine Bluff. Something I hope I never have to repeat.

Are you coming down for the game?

And yet you all still can't understand why our football team couldn't come play a football game after New Orleans was ripped apart and Baton Rouge was packed to the rim after Katrina? Also, moving a 15-person soccer team takes little effort compared to moving 70-80 football players, 170 band members, and 16 cheerleaders considering that Katrina required the use of a large number of the state's buses.

I'm just going by what your AD posted. In case you forgot, do you need me to re-post it?

I understand; but not to be funny or a smart mouth, Coach Coleman did speak on the ineligibilities of our boys and their status. We (the GLF) hope to have our full team healthy and in uniform this Saturday, too. And again, at the risk of being a smart-mouth, I really don't have extra $$$$ to buy you a hat for your wall. I am a single mother, now with 2 daughters in college, so my $$$$$ is limited to their education. However, you can check out our website and/or access information there or you can call our bookstore to see if they have an online store. I purchased my hats from a gentleman I know who owns a shop in PB.

And thank you for the invitation to the tail-gate. I hope you enjoy the game as well.

We understand why the game didn't get played in 2005...We just didn't understand all the posturing and mental gymnastics used to come up with excuses why the back end of a home and home didn't get honored the following year, nor why Southern tried to welch out of paying the buyout...But, ultimately, you did what was right...after you tried everything else ;)

You should be used to getting dropped like a bad habit. It's not like ULL haven't trained you all to be subservient. :emlaugh:

The pictures I posted were of a lioness; I believe it was you who inquired twice as to where the Golden Lions supporters were. I thought it would be obvious from my avatar and me being an alumna of UAPB the McNeese fans on the Forums would recognize me as a Golden Lion alum and supporter. The TSPN posters know whenever they see this, it is in either reference to my alma mater or myself. And the picture of the gun? Excellent representation of how Cowboys are "well equipped to handle" us Lions.

No harm, no foul.......this time.......but I am watching you.........

Again, congratulations to McNeese on a well earned victory and may both schools have a fair, well-played, injury-free game this Saturday.

Why don't you talk to Jay about that because I don't give a shiiiit about what happened in 2005. It is ancient history to me over and done with. I don't care. I care about the present and now and about the game with UAPB Saturday.

No need to worry about the hat. I just ordered one from the UAPB bookstore. It is just more fun to get one from the fans that come to the game but no big problem, I understand. I have even bought the hat off the head of a fan or two for some playoff games in the past.

The invitation to the tailgate is a serious invite.

Yes, we kneeled for USL....On their 12 yard line to run out the clock with a 21 point lead....

Just like we did at the end of the beat down we handed Southern....we do that for all our lesser opponents...
