2013 Dr. Cavil's HBCU FB Poll


Southern will knock jsu off in September. Don't expect jsu to be in anyone's top 10 in a few seeks. I see a 1-5 start for jsu and a 6-5 finish since the tail end of their schedule is weak.

What math? This is a new season. Everyone starts off with the same record.

That's true its only prediction.

But if you're going to provide a preseason poll to people it should be unbiased and realistic. There is noway on any reasonable level SU should be rated above bamastate. Even if your "numbers" show they should your human intellect should take over and not allow that to happen.

Disclaimer :SU might have the best talent in FCS and we know they have a lot of RVs ...but let them show something on the field first.

Just so you know a lil historical fact. This poll is historically so bad, it caused me to create the PRECISION POLL

I don't hate jsu. It may seem that way to the myopic when hard core fact are given (i.e. no dome, 1N16, no wins in certain playoffs in 34 years). Too many folks around here are shallow.... :lol: :emlaugh:

I certainly hope so! Coach Coleman has said "we're poised to repeat" but no two seasons are ever the same. Like you said, we have the team but we have to meet everybody's best each week! It would be nice to repeat, especially with an 11-0 season; however, the season hasn't started and we need to actually play to see what needs to be worked on in practices to come. As long as I see real effort and hard work and improvement with our team, I'll be happy. Next weekend and the weekend after are going to be rough; hopefully no one will get injured because we need every player healthy and ready to go.

Fact of the matter is, su ain't Grambling so you can't realistically compare your history with theirs.

No we aren't Grambling, because 1 of our 4 wins was against a team in Jackson, MS.
