btw, it shole is interesting how you always highlight the starters lost on other teams as the tell tale sign, end all, be all, but for some reason, that doesn't apply to Jsu. :confused:

I see that kickoff has been moved up an hour. The sooner, the better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have never had the full state of quality that resides in Jackson unless ya'll are cheating so yeah, you losing starters is a big deal. I said JSU would go 8-3. That is only a one game improvement. I'm not expecting the world but I do believe that we are in better shape this year than last year. We know who 90% of our starters are, we know what kind of offense we want to run. We know our strengths and weaknesses, etc... If we went 7-4 last year, even with our personnel losses, I see us ahead of the curve and primed to have a good season. On top of that, we get you all at home for the first home game. Jacksonians will be pumped and ready.

Also, I still don't think Barlow really made a bad decision to put the game in the hands of his defense. If that kick had gone wide right, you would be calling my frat a genius.

Really Crowell had only 800 yards last season which is a drop off from what he did at Georgia true he is talent but he doesnt have that SEC Oline to block for him anymore!
 
I expect the coaches to utilize the RB in the run game primarily. I believe that'll make the offense much more effective. I expect much of the same from the defense. Hayes won't stop running man defense when a zone/prevent is needed. Coaches will cost us a game. 8-3 regular season, but SWAC champs.
 
I expect to to be better than 1-3 after the first 4 games this year. Start hot and fast then let it snowball the rest of the season.

I'm tired of all this "slow start" shat. :lol:

if he had 250 carries he would have had 1500 yards. he's leaving after this season. he's going for about 1800 yards this year and 20 td minimum. had 15 td's last year and barely touched the football.
 
I expect the following from JSU this season:

1. 4-0 East Divisional Champs
2. 4-3 out of division. Will lose to Tulane, Tenn State, UAPB. We will beat SU, PV, GSU, Texas Su.
3. 8-3 overall
4. Coach Comegy will get another contract extension and more money.

He's going to need 300 carries to hit those numbers. Might happen but I doubt it. Also, how can you say he would've darn near doubled his yardage last year with 100 extra carries?

9-4 season, 7-2 in SWAC play

Offense will do what our offense does.. score lots of points. Our defense should see SIGNIFICANT improvement this year with the new DC, new scheme and new DBs. :read:
 
I think everyone expects to win 7 games and finish no less than 2nd in their division.... we should just close this thread now.

Some in Jackson sure hope not. He may get an extension. Don't think JSU will give him even more money.

"Some" in Jackson in are not paying his salary. He would deserve a raise and extension if he wins the SWAC but his contract is not over til after next season. That would be a nice 4 year streak, 8 win season, 9 win season, SCG appearance, SCG win. That is raise and extension worthy.

i believe barlow showed last season with jenkins he will be loyal to a player even when it maybe to the point of detriment to the team. he knows that his highest profile player needs to be picked in the draft at the same spot he would have had he remained at uga. that will require a huge season and barlow will make sure that happens barring injury. also depends on how games go. they blow someone out or fall behind and crowell's carries suffer.

Question for the bama folks

I was watching classic sports with Ga vs some other SEC school. They went to the booth and showed your DC, Coach Ramsey. I was like "look at ole Ramsey in the booth." Then I thought, How the hell are you at Georgia and end up at BamaState? Do you know how sorry you have to be as a DC to be in the SEC and end up in a bottom of the barrell place like BamaState. Im not saying yall are bottom of the barrell, but you understand. Its a fall from grace. That goes to show you how bad he is. An SEC coordinator is a stepping stone to at least a head coaching position in a midmajor or even better. That guy is terrible....you made a big mistake firing your other DC and then hiring him.

That kid is not going to get drafted as a Jr from the SWAC. Quit saying that. I know he has about 4 babymommas to take care of but he is a free agent, at best, in 2015. Nothing else...

You can keep making excuses if you want....thats your business...but the bottom line is you got your ass kicked by a better team. The score says it, the stats say it, and your team knew it. There werent mad after losing that game. They were happy to get that ass back on the bus (fully dressed) so they could get back to the dorm. We had 110 more total yards and 2 of your TDs were flukes. You shouldnt have been in that game. Just be glad it was a close game until the end for ASU.

You should have put Jenkins at WR since ASU lacked talent at that position. If you had done that, Duhart would have a year of experience at QB and he wouldnt have to face Cox on the 2nd real start of his career. And I hope you guys arent counting the PV game as a start for Duhart...I have a 16 year old nephew that would look good against PV.

Ive been asking local BamaState fans about their arrogance. Every year they say they are going to beat MightyJSU but they havent been better than us since Bell left. They lost all of their decent players except one 800 yard RB, but you cant shut them the hell up about football. Hell we have a 800 yard RB that didnt get playing time until the 4th game of the season. And then we have 2 other 500 yard rushers...I just dont get it. Maybe we need to go get a thug running back to make us feel better about our chances.
