Fallout From SCG Moving

You say that, but when have you seen an SEC Championship that didn't involve Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, or LSU?

The only SEC teams other than those teams to play in the championship have been Mississippi State and Arkansas. Mississippi State and Arkansas held there own.

Matter of fact, the MSU - Tennessee game in 1998 drew more people than FLA vs AL and FLA vs. Auburn the next two years.

SEC teams are going to ride no matter what. Especially if their team rarely gets to the championship game.

Not to mention that the Georgia Dome only holds about 75,000 people. Easily filled by any two SEC fan bases. ANY TWO.

SEC Championship game

ETA: Forgot about South Carolina. USCe still held their own as far as attendance goes.

Don't get me wrong I understand the point you're trying to make. In the SWAC it would matter who's playing, thats not the case for any SEC school. As much as I hate to say it Ole Miss and MSU fans roll deep. It's Vandy alums all over the US, money or attendance is not a factor in the SEC. None of them schools would have a problem selling out in ATL. We can either agree or agree to disagree on this lol.

no one is angry lol

The majority of people I've talked to are glad it moved to Houston. If anything you could say the Bham City Council is mad but not really..what you expect them to do? keep giving money to the SWAC. The Swac office should move to Houston.

I mean as not involving none of those schools. Meaning seeing a Vanderbilt vs. Ole Miss game or something. That Tennessee game was huge because those Knoxville folks packed the place because they were playing to get into the BCS title game.

It will be because of the casual fan going to watch. Vanderbilt has a lot of alums, but they aren't sports fans. When I see Florida have more people in Vanderbilt's stadium than their own fans, something is wrong. lol

Still, the Georgia Dome only holds 75,000 or so.

If you have 10,000 general admission tickets, that only leaves 65,000 for two schools to pick up. That's 32,500 per school. Easy for any SEC team including a matchup between Vandy and Ole Miss. The place would be packed out.

Most SEC team stadiums are larger than 75K. SEC teams put more than 32,500 people in their own stadiums week-in and week-out. It wouldn't be anything special to do it during a championship game.

Okay, I guess I should have used the Big 10 or ACC then, but you get the point I was trying to make. lol

I totally understand the business aspect of the council's concerns so I would imagine the Council of Presidents and the SWAC office knowing that in advance and having a plan in place once this eventually came up.

We're talking about the Swac......do you think they ever have something planned out.

Them Bama's are heated lol

Yep...... :tophat:

This is funny.
But bottom line is I don't care even though, all joking aside, Houston will give people more shat to do when attending. If JSU is there, I'm there early, checked into a Hotel, dam near staggering drunk 2 hours after hitting H-Town.

:read: :read: + 1,000,000

Either way it goes the game will only get about 30K unless JSU/Southern is in the game....it is what it is, if JSU is there me and my family will be there! The SWAC sucks....

Say, bruh........do we need to shine a flashlight on your ID??? LOL

Right...

but that doesn't apply in Houston, because everybody will be going to the SCG in Houston. So I advise everybody to get their tickets early, cause a SCG in Houston will surely sell out. just like the bball tournament has done since it left Bham. :retard: :scared:
