Charlie strong and Louisville has Florida behind the woodshed in the 3rd, 30-10.

LSU loses to Clemson (after being dominated statistically)

S.Carolina has to comeback against a Big 10 school.

This doesn't bode well for A&M in the Cottonbowl and Notre Dame definitely has a shot.

The Aggies will beat OU.
Notre Dame may very well pull a shocker.

no way in hell Notre Dame game is even close.... they struggled with some horrible teams this year....They REALLY should have 2 losses.

I wouldn't bet against them. This is also one game I believe that Bama will have to deal with the refs. Just my opinion.

It could be argued Bama should have three losses. Texas A&M got them at the crib. They needed a last minute drive to beat LSU. Finally, if not for better clock management/play-calling at the end of the SEC Championship Game, Georgia could have won that game.

Also in the Tide's last three games against ranked opponents, they've surrendered 420 yards per game. ND isn't a high-powered offense, but I wouldn't sleep on Brian Kelly putting together an effective game plan, though.

While the ND offense struggled against some average opponents, the defense sure didn't. (The Notre Dame front seven, which as been elite all year, versus the Bama OL, will decide who wins the national championship.)

Last but not least...if Ohio State isn't banned from postseason play, it more than likely would be the Buckeyes and the Irish Jan. 7.

Kendrick Notre Dame struggled with Pitt, BYU, USC, Purdue, Michigan and Stanford.....

The more I hear myself and others talk like this, the more I think about the year Alabama struggled with teams all season, but went unbeaten, and Miami was blowing through everybody. Just knew Miami was gonna kill Bama in the Sugar Bowl.

If Bama was a team who depended on a GOOD quarterback... it would be close.... but Lacey and Yelding about to have a field day on the overated ND defense....long drives on the ground.

The year Ohio State beat Miami for the title. They barely won games against lesser opponents. They had lucky moments. Miami was supposed to blow them off the field. Sometimes some teams are destined to win. ND makes me think they are. Last time they had a black QB from the state of South Carolina. They won the National title. Any kid that beat Clowney for the State title got to be pretty good.

Georgia or LSU could have very easily been in that championship game. The key to beating Bama this year is having a potent passing attack. Their defense is no way close to as good as it was last year. Football is a game of match ups. I don't believe ND has the kind of offense that will be able to beat Alabama. Alabama offense is too big and strong and will get their points. Don't look for ND to win this one.

It is fair to say that the ND offense struggled in those games due in large part to the up and down play of red shirt freshman Everett Golston. And in a lot of those games, Brian Kelly went conservative on offense, knowing he had a great defense to lean on.

But the defense held every single opponent -- including Pac-12 and Rose Bowl champion Stanford -- to season lows in points and yards during the regular season.

They haven't faced a power offense like Bama's though. Bame is going to run the football straight at them and dare them to stop it.

I don't even know why I talk football with Kendrick.... bruh needs to stick to baseball.

Some of these guys are confused or they really don't watch these games and still try to have a conversation about it.

Alabama All American Linemen:

Barrett Jones 6-5 305 Center
DJ Fluke 6-6 335 OT
Chance Warmack 6-3 335 OG

You put that in front of AJ McCarron that is running 3rd team on one All American team with Yeldon and Lacy in the backfield, you have an offense that is going to get theirs.

Seriously, are you comparing Stanford's offense to Bama's? :emlaugh: You're joking right?

You said Notre Dame hadn't faced a power offense like Bama that is going to repeatedly run at them. Stanford has a similar offense

Here is Stanford head coach David Shaw prior to the Rose Bowl:

Stanford coach David Shaw said before the game that his offense is what it is – a hard-nosed, straight-ahead running game -- and he planned to stick with that.

The only difference is that Stanford doesn't have the same caliber athlete as Bama.

We can go back and forth all night breaking down this game, but regular season outcomes isn't always an indicator of bowl game outcomes.

Besides, I'm pretty sure Louisville hadn't faced a team like Florida either all season prior to the Sugar Bowl, considering they've played in the Big East and struggled with Syracuse and UConn.

This is true. The athletes at Stanford are much smarter than the athletes at Bama.

Smarter? How many of those smart guys from Stanford are All Americans and play in the NFL in comparison? :emlaugh: There isn't that much space between your and Kendrick's post. :emlaugh:

You disagree? You ever hear these SEC cats talk?

Do you think ND is going to "talk" off of the line of scrimmage and tackle with the King's english? :emlaugh: You killing me Petey! You killing me! :emlaugh:
