JSU: New Women's BBall Coach

This is all I am saying. I want the best. We can be friends all day, but I refuse to risk my success over a hook up. She may come in and do wonders with the program but this is too obvious. Who were the other candidates? I refuse to believe this was the best candidate.

She was not the only candidate! Donnita Drain from grambling was the other candidate, and we all know what she did for GSU program.

GR likes the hire
She aint white
plus she got that Anita Baker cut

Lets do this Surina. We dont care what happened at TxSU. We know they dont know what the hell they are doing over there. Hell they got an orange soccer stadium calling it THEIRS.

You are home now.

And dont listen to these JSU folks when you get here either. They dont like NOBODY.
They even want a 9 game winning coach fired. When they hire the white guy in two years
these buck dancing *****s will be dancing on the ceiling. So just do your thing. This the SWAC...you dont have
much competition...plus you at MIGHTYJSU

I agree.

I was looking at her graduation rate more than the win/loss record. That is a problem among a lot of us. We would rather put more emphasis on winning than staying compliant with academic standards set by the NCAA. It is what it is.

Told ya'll about your prez. If you would have fired Comegy....

1. What does this have to do with Comegy?

2. Our president is the Dr. Harvey of the SWAC.

3. I tried to warn you about your president yet now your school is being raped over the coals by every news outlet in America. Go figure.

We haven't had any APR problems in WBB. And Dixon has proven she can't coach on the college level. By next year you'll be looking at her W-L.

If you have APR issues outside of football and men's bball, you have much bigger issues. Female athletes are usually better students than average.

We don't have APR issues with female sports. You harp on that when you have no winning success leg to stand on. Her record speaks for itself. She's a college loser. Went to high school and had some success.

She has a losing record at bad schools. She is at a winner now. We shouldnt copmplain, we had a winner but she wasnt good enough. We had a winning AD but he was only winning ONE cup a year.

These TxSU folks are just mad cause she sued them....AND WON. So you obviously did something wrong (like renting an orange soccer stadium).

I know you don't. I was making the point that APR is not an issue or selling point in women's or any non-revenue sports. APR was made for football and mens bball.

I never said our WBB program had APR problems. Some of you forget about the new NCAA APR standards that will take affect soon. I applaud our president and AD for going after someone who has a good track record of graduating student-athletes.

I would rather have a WBB program with a 1000 APR score. Success on the court will come but it is not more important than success in the classroom. Whether you like or not, our AD is falling in line with our president's mission to raise the university's academic reputation.

If APR was only made for those 2 sports, every other athletic team would not be judged off of APR.

They can't appear to be descriminating against the high black male participation sports, but you clearly see what teams/sports are at risk for penalties.

The bottom line is that every sport has NCAA academic standards which are about to raised. I applaud both the president and AD for bringing in someone who has a proven track record of graduating student-athletes.

Non, you are sounding crazy right now. Academics and athletic success are not mutually exclusive. Especially, not for women's sports.

Non you are very delusional right now nd arent making any sense...very delusional...i am sorry i want success n classroom nd on the field...Coaches job is to win games and teachers job is to teach class period...we have dropped the opportunity for a good hire with a lady who has only won in JV high school in Memphis..the athletic dept needs to be cleaned out starting with TFO....
