How am I lying about what I know? There's division at Alcorn over this hiring and you know it. Keep ignoring it if that helps.

Another thing, help me understand why I can't post on a "public" forum about a certain subject. It's not like JSU folks talk about Alcorn THAT much. You oughta be thankful you getting some free air time.

If you make a response to JayRob, don't I have the right to respond back? Simple logic says "yes".

Congrats on the hire Alcorn. I was sure Coach Armour would get the job, but I guess I was wrong; hope he's happy in Colorado with Coach Collins.

Hope this works out for the Braves.......just as long as they don't beat my Golden Lions.

If you liked him very much then you can hire him back. He did it to himself at Alcorn. He was hand-picked and pissed on those who picked him.

Well I'll tell you, you are a liar on this. These same old heads begged for Spears, they got him then wanted him gone less than a year later. Well they got their wish but Dr. Brown decided to take a different approach with hiring this coach because these same old alumni have a problem with allowing things to work out. Trust the will be fine one way or another. I'll you what though if they stop their support over this hire then that's just their dumb fault. I bet for every person that doesn't support it, there's two that does.
 
White head coach at HBCU=success.....too many examples out there. Hampton basketball, VUU basketball, FAMU basketball.... Norfolk State football.
 
I hope Alcorn coach can bring excitement to black college football. It's been boring since Jimmy Oliver won his championship Ring. *Shrugs*

Really??? Question of ALL those Schools you named that equal success, How Many Have constant Success ( More than 1 Championship)?? 1 Coach Dave Robbins. Where is steve Merfield now??? Where is the Cheater from FAMU??? Coach robbins is still working at VUU. NSU won its 1st Championship last year. Kudos. So Again, where did you come up with that Questionable Statement??? For Every one of those you named I can MANY MORE SUCCESSFUL BLACK COACHES AT HBCU's. Alcorn made their choice. some people will agree, some will not agree. They did what's best for Alcorn... However, People need to STOP with the tomfoolery..... Really. I respect your Freedom of Speech, but I take offense when some of US act as If WE CANNOT Run SUCCESSFUL CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAMS.

I didnt say the white man was the "better coach"... I just said at a HBCU they get results.... Merfield made Hampton a champion....they won a NCAA tournament game in basketball... same with the coach at FAMU.... am I right or am I wrong.... what they did after doesnt make a difference to me... they were successful at HBCUs. Norfolk was the Mississippi Valley of the MEAC. They just won a MEAC Championship with a white coach. Say it how you want to say it but white coaches succeed at HBCUs.... not saying that Black ones dont.... but I am saying white head coaches succeed at HBCUs.

Spears didn't GAS about ya'll and all but told ya'll that when he was still prowling the sideline. The parents of those players and alumni was ready to literally bust SPEARS head wide open the way he started talking to him. That is why I said on this board, long before Alcorn let all their azzes go, that SPEARS would never coach another year at Alcorn. Everybody that even glance at SWAC football in Mississippi knew this way back then.

I said on this board what everybody here knew mid-season when "Air Canada" was run off the team. Spears literally lost his mind and destroyed what little momentum Alcorn had going for them.

People tried to warn ya'll before ya'll hired that fool he was trouble. Lawsuits just don't happen 1, 2, 3........Ask GRAM cause they had to pay 3 years after they fired Spears. Lost the case and the appeal. STAY TUNED and you will see. :lol:
