I'm telling you it's the Cardinals. Seriously. They don't boo the team or individual players during tough times at the games. There are occasions where some fans gets into fights and shouting matches in the stands because one guy wants to express his displeasure, and those around him try to stop him from doing so. When their fans come to Chicago to watch the Cardinals play against the Cubs or the Sox, those folks come deep. Never seen so many people dressed in red in my life on the train, buses and around the ballpark. In St. Louis it's the same thing. Red everywhere.
 
I say the Cubs because the Cardinals have won and won recently, so they have a reason to believe. The Cubs fans FLOCK to Wrigley every year and support them already know subconsciously that the season is over before it ever started.

The 2003 season was an inflection point for Cubs fandom. After the Cubs lost in the NLCS to the Marlins and then later blew that Wild Card lead at the end of the 2004 regular season, the expectations of the franchise changed. I'd say over the past few years, Cubs fans have not been coming out in droves like in years past. Last season, there were far fewer sellouts and many games the lower bowl was half full during May and June. There were reports that Cubs were giving away tickets to games or folks were buying them online for like $2 or $3.

For the first time in a long time the Cubs were taking a play out of the White Sox playbook and offering half price tickets during certain days for bleacher seats. It is much easier to get tickets now than before.

Folks on the North Side have changed.

You actually think the Cowboys' dumb fan base are the reason they are the top NFL franchise??? Dude get a grip. Dumb fans ain't the reason why the worst Cowboys' teams are still in demand for Sunday Night an Monday Night Footbll. Or the Saturday prime time games. Dumb fans are not the reason why everybody on the planet watches their games. Dumb fans didn't drive the value of the team to $2B.

Face it, when it come to the NFL, the Cowboys are Notre Dame compared to the rest of the teams. If the rules allowed, the Cowboys would have their own network contract.

Per Yahoo, the cowgirls have the second highest fan cost index in the NFL at $618.80. The Giants have the highest at $628.20. But over the last twenty years, the Giants have made nine playoff appearances and one Superbowl win, whereas the cowgirls have had only one playoff win over the last twenty years. Not only it's dumb as shyt to pay such a high price for a worthless team, but Jerry Jones is doing some serious pimp slapping.
 
Robber is correct. The Cowboys get more "ME ONLY" games than any other team in the NFL. That is not by design, its by DEMAND. Advertisers and networks want the Cowboys!
JAG89, you are a contributing reason to the success of the Cowboys. First off, to even look up the cost index of the Cowboys and retrieve stats on playoffs victories over a span of time means you watch the Cowboys to see the fail. Networks don't care WHY you watch the Cowboys, they just know you will.

Most Cowboys fans couldn't even begin to tell you about the cost index of the Saints or even name their owner or even spend time to watch them play on TV.

Now just because the Cowboys are our favorite team and its the best sports franchise on the planet, doesn't mean its a cult. At least we have 5 Superbowl rings and the most Superbowl appearances of any other NFL franchise. Supporting the Saints must be a cult because they can't hold the Cowboys nutt sack when it comes to tradition and respect. Who's the owner of the Saints? Who are the Hall of Famers? In the Saint's 45 year history, they only have 10 seasons with a winning record (LOL!), ONE Superbowl Appearance, you are 5-9 in the playoffs overall, 275 wins vs 378 loses. You can't even begin to compare to the Cowboys.
