it's clear that we are gone either have to wait him out, or hope that he stumbles across some no-brainer moves that even he can't mess up.

The captain of the Titanic rode his ship down to the bottom of the ocean. Too bad that was the last thing he ever did.

I am sure his son will take over and be just like Daddy if and when JJ can't do this anymore. I doubt the Jones family sells the Cowboys and you get new ownership. They would be stupid to sell the franchise and it is so expensive, only somebody like Mark Cuban could probably afford it anyway. LOL. Stephen Jones don't sound like he is the sharpest knife in the drawer either. Probably been drinking the same stuff his daddy is.

I keep saying, if you guys think that its about football, you are mistaken! He has had two men in his camp smarter than him and he got rid of both (Parcells & Jimmy Johnson). He will NEVER hire someone that has more football smarts than him again, NEVER. JJ takes care of his players and fans and that's all that matter to him.

And it shows too. Especially when he hired this guy.

As someone who has bashed Jerry Jones I love some of the comments about him. OK, I bash him from time to time-especially on the Ring of Honor. Anyway, I will have to partially defend Wade Phillips. He was the last coach to take Buffalo to the playoffs, and look at what he has done for the Houston defense. Anyway, I think I will have to turn in to some of the talk shows in the DFW. :D

Frat. Jerry is a ego driven guy. He already has enough money so that don't motivate him like talking about. He can't spend it all anyway. LOL. He wants to win the SB because that would make his brand even bigger. Right now, outside of that stadium, other teams are making money big time. The NFL aint the NBA. They all make money except maybe J'Ville and even that is suspect. Jerry is a shrewd business man but he aint stupid. Wins would send the Cowboys over the top. Right now the Cowboys are in danger of losing the next generation of fans if they don't win something soon. These kids have not seen a Cowboys SB title. If they don't win in the next 5 years, that brand is not going to be what it is today. Not saying he aint going to still be making big money off his deals, the stadium and selling Cowboys merchandise. It will be just starting to go the other way in popularity. Had the Texas Rangers won the World Series coupled with the Mavs winning the NBA title. Jerry was probably ready to bust a gasket. LOL. He can't be happy being the third best franchise in his city. Even if they are worth a billion dollars. Just like the Yankees ownership. They don't like losing. JJ aint a happy camper by no means.

Just like the Redskins fans.

Ask Raider fans. Today’s kids do not know what it is like for the Raiders to be playing at this time of year season after season. If they only knew what Raider football was really like, their jaws would drop. Raider teams of old would not let average teams like this year's San Diego and Denver beat them at home-especially if the playoffs are on the line.

Yankies, Red Sox, Cowboys, Gaints, Lakers, Celtics, Packers are franchises that keep their leagues going regardless of their records. Franchises like the Falcons, TX Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Bucks, Cavs, Saints, Seahawks, etc., have to win, they can't go a decade without a playoff appearance and still have a fan base. Please explain how the Cowboys have one playoff win in almost 20 years, yet they are still the top NFL franchise?

Because the cowgirls have the dumbest fan base. They continue to pay top dollars for a product that's not worth a dime.

Jerry Jones should follow the blueprint of Benson in New Orleans. Benson placed his grand daughter in training and truth be told she makes a lot of the decisions. Dallas will never win another Superbowl as long as Jerry Jones continues this arrogance.

No the best decision Benson ever made was to hire Mickey Loomis as GM. He's the brains behind the Saints organization and the surge.

Can't speak for the others but Saints fans have been very loyal thru the years.

We were loyal, but we never paid the price we are paying now when we were losing. Every year Jerry Jones blows smoke up his fan base ass so he can continue to sell them $90 pizzas along with other overpriced items.

He will keep doing it as long the fans keep buying it!
