POINT BLANK, THE SWAC NEEDS TO SCRAP THE DAMN SWAC TOURNAMENT AND LET THE SEASON CHAMPION GO!!! BAMA STATE IS LAYING ANOTHER DAMN EGG LIKE THEY DID IN '09. THEY DON'T NEED TO REPRESENT THE SWAC IN NOTHING ANYMORE!!!:smh::smh:
Who's to say the season champion would be doing any better?:read:
Dude, Texas Southern or JSU has a history of making a decent showing in the tournament and making the games competitive. Southern has too, but not Bama State. Neither has been beaten and dominated like this. This is Lewis Jackson's second time in three years in the play-in game. This is totally embarassing and WORSE than the embarassment of 2009.
We TRIED like hell to tell some you, but you just wouldn't listen.
Some times the truth hurts, bro.
Nothing wrong with the truth but if we scour the internet and find only one article downing the SWAC and it's from one of US, it's truly pathetic. Why don't you do a series...talk about some other schools and conferences. You did the same thing when it came to Comegy about APR when you had no facts on the matter.
As MH said, all of the other articles have been positive.
Again, truly sad on your part. :smh:
Oh so now it comes out, you wish JSU was there. Glad someone finally told the truth, so that's why JSU are the only people crying.:emlaugh:

I know what their argument will be and that is why don't teams like Ole Miss and California take the place of these lack-luster conferences and to keep it at decent level of respectability. I think what they may do is let only teams in the D-1 have their own championship, D-1A and etc. It may sound strange but but when you look at the level of competition and see that a team from one conference is far stronger than another teams conference and the team that is stronger doesn't get into the "big dance" and demoted to a lesser tournament or no tournament at all it seems to present a challenge on selecting the 'best of the best to see who is the best!'
beans,
The tournament is big money. If anything, The NCAA will expand it with even more teams. Not make it less inclusive. What you're suggesting is that they will do away with automatic bids. That's the only way to bar sub .500 teams.

MH, they will expand, but it will be only to let more teams that's over .500 in. Not any mediocre teams that's borderline or under .500. Trust me on this one. It's coming.
Someone stated that TxSU or JSU should have gone... I say they didn't EARN the right to go based on the criteria our conference established years ago. Everyone knows that it's win the tourney or go home. Bama State did just that...they won the tourney. They not only eliminated the top seed, but they also beat the team that beat the #2 seed. Newsflash... Win the damn SWAC Tourney or STHU!
People ain't read a word that has been posted outside of turning this into a JSU/TSU sour grape thread. :smh:
In the future when something is posted like this, lets not even pretend to discuss new ideas. Lets just be happy with the same old same old that got us behind the curve in every sport we play.
Not a TSU/JSU sour grapes thread for me... but the person who mentioned that TxSU or JSU should have gone is a JSU fan. However, my comment would have been the same if a poster would have said Grambling or whoever else might have won the regular season would have gone.
