Ain't No Sunshine when _____ gone...

Well, I prayed for patience and wish I had not...now, God is CONSTANTLY placing me in situations where I have to WAIT. That's why you have to be careful what you wish/pray for.

btw, I keep failing the test. :D

Lawd try praying for WISDOM. You think patience brings tests? :scared::lecture:

I can relate. Patience is a virtue that I don't have, but I am a work in progress. And it was very hard for me to wait, but I now understand what it means to "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord". I'm not where I need to be yet, but I ain't where I was either.

"I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my foot upon a rock and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. " Psalm 40:1-3

This is one of my favorite Psalms; the way I look at it, you and I are placed in situations where we have to wait is to give God all the honor and glory when do receive whatever it is we have to wait on. Keep on having patience and keep waiting...........if it comes from God, it is worth the wait.:lecture::lecture::lecture::lecture::lecture:

I too need that along with the other fruits of the Spirit (faith, patience, wisdom, courage, meekness, etc). These are what help me make it through the day and keep my sanity. It ain't easy, but I know it's good for me and my soul.

I still want my front-loader washer/dryer set, though! God is good! I think 2010 will the year I achieve this!:):):):)

Thats it! I cannot ignore what I need, and even though when the tests come and are NOT easy, I keep at it. God doesn't punish us for failing cause he knows we are not perfect and are trying, but I don't think it pleases Him when we try to avoid the test altogether.

Its a lot i've been missing out on. Spiritually. and i'm not gonna front and say i'm where i'm supposed to be, because i'm not. My thing is God has blessed me soooo much, even with not being on track, so how much more will He pour out on me if I make a commitment to grow closer to Him? Like 96Lioness said, I aint where i'm supposed to be, but I aint where I used to be.
