If Doug Williams is named Head Coach........That is no hate on any other SWAC teams, but his coaching record and SWAC Championships are the real deal! Good Luck SU

su really hasn't been a contender to win the SWAC since the last time they won it in like '03... And before '93 they were a SWAC doormat.....

Contender : in the running for a prize or championship .... like 2004 (in the SCG) or 2007 (going to the last week).

And please point to the time when SU was a SWAC doormat ... I would love to see this.

I could have sworn that we were in the SCG in 04. I could have sworn that in 07 we were 8-3. Do you know anything? :shame:

Man cut the crap...you ain't thinking nothing about no loyalty... only thing you thinknig about is the next rounds of ass whooping coming the SWAC way from SU...

Like I said before I read all this foolishness.. but I was spoiled.. my time at SU we NEVER lost to jsu nor gsu...we just didn't tolerate that kind of behavior..
 
Po Eddie is probably rolling over in his Grave right now... He looked out for Doug then Doug turns around and conspires to have him fired. Now, to put the final nail in the coffin, Doug runs off to coach his arch nemesis...

Doug or no Doug, the next coach better produce real quick or he will be out real quick. Pete was able to stick around because he won SU 3 National Titles. The new coach hadn't won any National Titles for us. So, the door will still be cracked for him to exist. Wins and money with a clean respectable program is the bottom-line baby. Your name doesn't matter. Your results matter.

Man you need to get over that BS. This is a job. If your employer's competitor had a job opening that would benefit you, you'd take it in a heartbeat. It's not like Grambling has an open head coaching job for him to take. He's not picking SU over Grambling because there is no job to be had at Grambling right now. The man wants to coach, and this gives him an opportunity to coach and be close to his family.
