How about this. The conference is down. JSU was no better than ASU, and probably would have lost tonight as well. Changing around the conference tourney schedule, or dividing the league to a East-West format of the 800-pound monkey in the room. Lack of talent.
HBCUs as a whole are just not good enough to win consistently against OCC foes. Until that happens, HBCUs will continue to get blown out in the first round of the NCAAs, in the play-in game and the regular season.
So Jayrob and other JSU fans arguing about the Tigers would have won need to go somewhere and be quiet. It does not matter. The SWAC is 0-5 in the play-in game.
Dude, yall were lucky to win in B'ham simply because we missed so many free throws we normally make. Plus over the last ten meetings, we are 7-3 against you. Plus you lost four starters. Plus you're losing your BEST player, best shot blocker and two best shooters.
The likelihood of Bama State winning next year is around 15-20 percent, and I'm being generous at that.

Dude, nobody cares why you lost. You got your arses whooped last Saturday and you've seem to have forgotten that.
Only 5% of the posters on the SWACPAGE really give a damn about what you post and I'm being generous with that.
As for next year we have TWO players (Jones and WHite) who are starters that are returning. Fitch should be inserted into the starting lineup at the center position and Butler will take over for Hayles. Our major concerns are recruiting depth at the 4 and 5 positions and replacing Brooks.
The whole "legs" tired thing is some bs to me.... kids playing college ball have been playing basketball since they were in grade school. They ball EVERYDAY (without subs lol) 3 or 4 games straight. Their bodies SHOULD be conditioned.

Sting... Im not saying Bama State will be down but I just dont see two players replacing Hayles and Brooks role NEXT year. Fitch is more a a 4 than a 5.
I guarantee our guards would've dominated Morehead State's backcourt as well as our inside game, and I KNOW we would've scored more than 45 points. Plus our players wouldn't have had deer in the headlight syndrome the entire game.
This is a total embarassment of epic proportion. It rivals that of Valley's last year.
Two schools know how to play on the big stage or at least put up a fight, and that's JSU and SU (under Ben Jobe).
While I agree that Bama State was the best team in the conference, I refuse to believe that JSU wouldn't have beaten this team. Bama State played like some busters. Played nowhere near as well as they could have. Now, had this team beaten a Bama State that played well, I could buy the "they woulda beat everybody else" argument.

Dude, I don't keep count of who gives a dayum about what I post. I give a dayum is what counts.
The bottom line is your team played like garbage.
If that was JSU's team getting embarassed like that, yall would be all over this page with all kinds of smilies and what not and you know it. Take your medicine and swallow it.
I'm being generous to you in your loss, so don't push it.

Dahill, we talking about the SWAC come on now......lol
No doubt we need money but until we hit the lotto we need to become more resourceful. It's possible as Morgan State has shown. They've been able to improve by signing D-I transfers, getting players ranked in the top 500 and keeping their nucleus for all 3 or 4 years. More of us should be able to do this.
Who is behind Brooks and Hayles. They rarely saw the floor. No confidence in them whatsoever. So the're suppose to just step in and not miss a beat.
A-hole, I have a right to my OWN dayum opinion, so you go somewhere and shut up. Did I once call out your dayum name?
Im sorry but no one has noticed Morgan State...and if what you say is true, it seems to me that they signed well 3-4 years ago and are riding a few players. Let's see what you have to say in a year or two.
no he didn't say top 500.... :scared:
Hayles is backed up by Freshman #21 Butler. Brooks was backed up by several point guards. We'll definitely recruit a pg or two for next year.
Truth be told, neither of you knows if JSU would've played any better. Did either of you expect Bama State to play this bad in this game?
Example, and this isn't smack, it's real talk. Look at last year's NBA finals. Boston beat the Lakers 4-2 in games and in that last game, they blew the Lakers out by 39 points. The Hawks that barely made the playoffs in the East took those same Celtics to 7 games and almost won the series. Cleveland did the same thing with Boston. Nobody expected those Lakers to get blown out by 39 points against any team, including the Celtics.
also Hayles, Brooks and Chief was around 70% of all of Bama State scoring if not more.
Do whatever you can to beat JSU, eh!?
Man, you are the Andy Dick of this board, dude. And way out of line.
