Why didnt you pledge Greek?

To echo on what Aplha said earlier......

I tell people all the time that this just aint for everybody. It does not make you less of a person...it's just being in my organization just probably aint meant to be for you.

I especially, turn my head in dismay when peeps try to cast that age old arguement about their "rights or right" to be in an organization.

I'm like uhhhh, not everybody can roll with the click podnah! I then explain it in terms to their girlfriend's vagina.

I'm like, uhhh....I have a right to have access to your woman's vagina! Then they are like, "L" naw!!! dats my woman...she is loyal to me...you can't just have access to her lower regions! She determines who she want's up in there.....not YOU!

I then say....."Hmmmmmm, now you see MY point!"

!!

That's the issue we're having with "ghosts," "fakes" and "perps" runnin' around here now!! Somebody somewhere told these li'l biyatches that they have a "RIGHT" to be a member of my fraternity! They've been told wrong!!

Becoming a Greek is a PRIVILEDGE and not anyone's RIGHT!!!

You're funny!

That pretty much sums it up for me. My roommate used to come back to the dorm room badly bruised, sore and just banged up to the point where he was too embarassed to go to class the next day. I used to constantly ask him what the hell was so special about it that made him keep enduring that isht. That and the fact that i'm a loner anyway and i've never been a "fit in" type person.

My exhusband went through that crap for KAPsi...It was HARD watching him go through that stuff...

For all the non Greeks?

Just inquiring. Not uplifting or bring down anyone?

:D

Flat out.

Had no desire to go through that shat AGAIN after KKPSI in the Boom.

Once was more than enough..................<a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxmk873DTUS%2526i%253D10%252F10%255F9%255F133%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_9_133.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0">

Dude you are wild... but your point is dead-on. I have learned that even some of those who have pledged the Psi Phi SHOULDN'T have joined the Psi Phi.

Dude sometimes the basic need to know information is right there in your face. For example I'll tell you the general information about Alpha Phi Alpha, but I wouldn't tell you any of our secrets. You'll get the secretive information by the time you finish the "intake process". I've been telling every aspirant from my college days to now "If it's not in your heart to join this organization then its not for you".

What kind of logic is this? It may be in my heart to move to Puerto Rico but i'd be dumb to go there not knowing anything about the country before I move. Are you saying that if it was really in my 'heart' i'd just do it and ask questions later? I sure hope not.

No, he's saying you'll do research and if you're satisfied with what you've found thus far, then you'll go foward.

YOu can do all the research in the world on Puerto Rico, but until you move there and actually experience it, you won't know the TRUTH.

That's all he's saying. It's not that difficult.

let's look at this bruh, if you are a disdtinguished organization why would you broadcast EVERYTHING about your organization(signs, grips, meanings, and etc...)???? All the information that is located on the websites that people have all kinds of access to, what more information do u want??? It kinda defeats the purpose of a distinguished, secret brotherhood.

You might do better not trying to get in a greek-lettered organization. If it's that complicated for you, maybe it's just not your thing. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's not for everyone.

This is my first time responding as I just wanted to read.

First to the people who feel that these "secret societies" are negative and cast a bad light on religion, etc...let it go. You're wrong. Now I have a lot of Fraternity Brothers who should have never even been in an interview for my beloved KAPSI. When you don't know who you are before you pledge, you definitely will not know who you are aftewards.

Since being in the BOND I have realized two things, all my Frat brothers are not my friends, and all my friends are not my frat brothers.

You will never see DSN fighting another frat or GDIs. Why?

Exactly!

So...because I cant find out what an organization is about before I join it's not for me.

Actually I dont care to join anything now. I was speaking of my underclassmen days and I was speaking on Masonry moreso than pan-hellanic type organizations. All they would tell me is 2 b 1 ask 1 and when I would ask questions I didnt get any type answers. So with something that secretive most are right, it probably wasnt for me.

If you ain't thirsty for it, then it ain't for you.

Either you're not talking to the right person or you're not getting the answers YOU want to get.

But either way, if you're curious or interested enough, you'll take the necessary steps to do what you have to do. And if you don't, you don't want it as much as you think you do.

There's too much information out here (internet, library and bookstores) to not find out the very basic stuff of whatever your interests are. Anything more than that, then you need to start the process to try to become a member for whatever organization.
Many things you won't know until you're in.
So, if the people you're talking to are not telling you what YOU want to hear hear, move to the next person and keep asking.

Thank You for explaining it to him!

He is right...ain't nobody gonna tell him schitt about Masonry. He would just have to be a good judge of character on what he "sees" and "believes".

As with any organization "Membership has its Privileges"!
