XBox is a mutha...

I'm just now utilizing my XBox to its gaming potential. I have just recently purchased the cables that will allow me to hook my XBox up to my stereo receiver to receive Dolby Digital Sound and MAN its a mutha. The hits in football are like no other.

I wish there was a way to have to voice to come thru the TV/Stereo when playing online.

If you have a PS2 and not an XBox, I feel for you.

I'm going to go buy Halo at lunch today, I hear that game is like no other.

Halo :bawling: That's the game! It utterly saved XBOX when it launched. It is a first person shooter. For myself, I just knew I was in a totally different world. Liked being dropped right in the middle of the action. Its difficult to predict the actions of the aliens. Be prepared not to be in your families life if you plan on finishig the game.

I owned a PS2 at first, but it was the game Ninga Gaiden that made me want to get an XBOX. (Talk about a hard *zz game!!) They did a good job remaking this game. I later bought Halo and the rest is history. I haven't

I think Halo is the best first person shooting game ever made. It is soooooooo addictive. It is very fun playing two player. It is off the chain playing three or more players. My coworkers and I have a Halo session once a week.

BTW, Halo 2 is coming out in November. I wish I jumped on the pre-order when it was around $36. Now, I think it is close to $52.

I think so, for $50.00/year you have unlimited online access to all online games with the use of 1 account # & password. I've heard that it best used for action/fighting games.

With PS2, some games you have to have an aol account, some games some other account, etc. With XBox, only one account.

Is XBOX Live worth it?

Depends on your social life. If you gotta life maybe, maybe not. If you like to play different people for the competition, DEFINITELY. Like with NCAA, your competitor can't see you check your routes and your defensive scheme before the play starts like if you were playing in person. If I lived in a city where I have a life, I would be torn because my time would be occupied, but since I ain't doin sh@t, its on time like a mug. Games like Rainbow Six and Project Gotham Racing is essential to have X-Box live. You would be totally missing out on a next level experience. WARNING!!!!! THIS SH@T CAN BECOME ADDICTIVE!!!!

Oh yeah, you can go to xbox website to see if your buddies on your friends list are playing on-line and the game they are playing. If they are playing a different game than you are at the time, you can send them an invite to join your game.

Man coworker keep asking if I am going to get XBOX live. I might try it out this weekend.

I'm trying to calm my nerves about this but I am a straight hype (addict) when it comes to this. To address your comment, that situation is pretty common. There have been several times when I have played with people that work together. One time I was racing these dudes and one of the guys were their boss. I also met these guys who went to Hampton. We played PGR2 for a couple of months until they got Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorow.

Was trying to decide on and Xbox or PS2....looks like the Xbox may be the way to go if I can get over the fact that its by Micro Suck

Poor Nintendo must either blow the gates wide open on the next generation or just hang it up.

Anyone know when the next generation of consoles will start to surface. If its too soon I won't waste time on the PS2 or Xbox.

XBox IMO is the way to go. The graphics are better, it has an internal hard-drive, no additional hardware to play online, supports 5.1 surround sound and component video. XBox does not have the selection of games as PS2, but 90% of the PS2 games wouldn't appeal to you anyway.

I have just bought the monster cables to hook up my xbox to the stereo and big screen and man I tell you, its like no other.

PS3 is set to come out sometime in 2006.

Sperm,
Just make sure that the XBox is supported by your Wide screen TV. Many CRTs have burned out because the Game Console signal strength burned out CRTs.

Be careful.

Pretty convincing pitch.... I guess I will have to start comparing the game titles though most of the stuff I would like have been on both so far. I only saw some horror titles that were not on both consoles.

Off I go to check prices lol....

Oh online play if 50 bucks for the whole year?........man I thought that shat would cost more than that.

I'm a guy that still plays on a PS I. I may be purchasing a new gaming system. So do you guys recommend a XBOX or PS2. Do they make games for both systems i.e. Madden 2005 and Gameday 2005?

NN

awww man, I gotta get my modem hooked up to play some of ya'll on NCAA 2005. Friday I will have Halo and I will finally get Madden 2005. It'll be a minute before I go LIVE.

COSIGN!!! I got it hooked up where the Surround Sound and the stereo can play the XBOX!! MAN!!! The hits are off the chizzain!!!

Bruh, I gotta get HALO this Friday! I heard its tight!

I just got the Xbox and Madden 05 and I will probably get LIVE in a couple of weeks. I was going to get Halo but I might as well wait for 2 now.

Do any of you play Mech Assault or any of the racing games? I'm a Burnout fan so I will be getting 3 soon and I was thinking about Project Gotham II or waiting until Forza Motorsports drops in January.

You can hear your opponent's voice but not yours by going to options online and change from headset to speaker. It s not that clear, it just depends on how loud your oppenent is.
