World Peace Doesn't Shake Hands

Dr. Phreeze

It is I...Yes it is...
LOS ANGELES -- Metta World Peace has no interest in making a bury-the-hatchet peace gesture with Oklahoma City's James Harden at the onset of the Los Angeles Lakers' Western Conference semifinals series against the Thunder.

"I don't shake substitutes' hands," World Peace said after contributing 15 points, five rebounds and four steals in the Lakers' 96-87 Game 7 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday in his first appearance since serving a seven-game suspension for his elbow to Harden's head last month.

Harden is not just any substitute of course, he's the Sixth Man of the Year who suffered a concussion in the second quarter of the Lakers' 114-106 double-overtime win over the Thunder on April 22 after World Peace's elbow following a dunk dropped him to the floor.

World Peace issued a statement of apology following the incident and told reporters in his first public comments about the suspension nearly two weeks ago that he reached out to check on Harden's health through a third party.

However, World Peace has yet to contact Harden directly and said that he has no plans to even acknowledge the Thunder's versatile wing player on the court before Game 1 on Monday.

Metta World Peace is a dumb ass!

If I was the OKC coach. I would send one of my deepest bench riders in to do nothing aggravate the isht out of him. Talk isht to him. Make his arse want to fight. No way would not send a message even if it means getting the scrub suspended a few games. They have 12 players I believe. So number 11 or 12 would be designated to do his thing. That why you have to carry at least one goon on your team to deal with mofos like this. I hope Harden averages 20-25 points a game on the Lakers. LOL. I got a feeling that Perkins is going to do something. Just got that feeling.

Here's my take on Metta... He really uses the crazy angle well and has some folks fooled. I'm not saying, he's "right" but he ain't what I call "crazy", crazy!

Remember when he got shoved in the chest by Ben Wallace (prior to going into the bleachers to get after a fan)? He commented that he walked off to prevent getting a fine or suspension...Bullshit!

He got fear in his heart - that's why he walked off. He knew Ben was gonna GATA!

As of the series... yall know I want the Lakers to lose. Hell, the only way I would be for the Lakers is if they were playing A Tea Party Squad (maybe).

They'd be wasting minutes on a scrub in a playoff game.

Anyway... isn't Fisher the 11-12th man on the bench? LOL

The best revenge is winning the game and series. You think cats like Andrew Bynum really cares about this?

I believe Harden got in Peace's way on purpose. I don't believe he is a victim but rather an agitator. Of course I don't believe Peace should have issued the elbow. However, I believe Harden made a conscience effort to get in Peace's way and think that this was lost in this situation. The reputation of Peace had a lot to do with them not looking at the aforementioned aspect of this ordeal.

Shiiiiii, or maybe common sense. I would have walked off from Ben Wallace and went and got my pistol.
I would fight a ticket holding white dude before I fought Ben Wallace. Kinda like back in the day when we used to play the dozens, and you was getting ripped...when you couldn't come up with a good retort, you started ripping on the mofo with thick azz glasses for laughing. lol

Dont shake that scrubs hand Metta

Exactly...its so great to have Ron Attest back in time for the meat of the playoffs.

Oh lawd.
Please grant me the wish of never seeing this clown azz, no ball handling skill having, 3 point brick shooting fool in a LAKERS uniform after this season again.

Yall can stop that...got in his way on purpose talk. Look at the film, dude was standing in the same area when Metta made the dunk. He stepped toward the endline to receive the inbound pass.

I hope he lights Artest's azz up...that foolishness has no place in basketball. I can understand an elbow shot to the ribs to get position, but not that crap he pulled. He wouldn't be able to shake my hand... pregame, post game, or ever!

Thats not true. He was impeading Mettas progress on purpose. He was trying to get Metta to do something stupid and he succeeded. He wasnt stepping to get the ball or anything like that. If he had stayed right in his spot, Metta would have run right pass him, but he was inching under Metta on purpose and Metta loaded up on that hairy ass chin.

Mike.....You need to stop looking at things with your heart and use your eyes. That Harden boy is a trouble maker that tried to pull dirt incognito. This is no different from Billy stealing Mr. Promise tomatoes out of his garden, getting caught, and then getting clubbed in the head. Sometimes thieves and trouble makers deeds get caught and it don't always turn out in their favor.
