I think the SEC team format
West teams in this example, plays all their division teams (6) games and they play (1) East team "every" year Home and Away and (1) East team rotates on the schedule over 2 years.
Using LSU as an example.
Their East team that they play every year is UF, They rotate with the other East teams, I think UGA is on the schedule for them this year, they haven't played them since 2008 in Tiger stadium and then 2013 was in UGA, so it's every 5 years or so looks like they rotate and play one another.
