After you all departed Crews Stadium last year, we recycled the trash you all left and made enough money to fund the wellness center and the entire football season. Not only do you all lead the attendance every year but we benefited by turning your trash into cash. I hope the other SWAC schools look at what we did with your trash and they can make more money than SU playing MVSU at home instead of coming to Normal.
hey MD

Memorial should be your last worry
Whatever happened to service with a smile?
AAMU servers: "Dayum, I gotta serve these &*^% losers again?! Hell, they should be servin me."
Players: "I gotta eat this stale schitt and ain't no McDonalds within 20 miles of this country a** school. I KNEW I shoulda took that JSU scholarship....DAYUM!!!
So are you saying AAMU was going to pay SU more than what we make on a home game? Were you paying for the Cheerleaders, Band, SU officials travel to Huntsville? What about food? Were you guys going to have a fundraiser to feed SU as well? Lodging? Still trying to figure out how you guys would have made a profit with SU coming if you were going to give us the gate. I mean with the attendance numbers yall get........it would have required the whole gate and then some to make the same as we make at home. Not to mention you can never pay for a home game atmosphere when you give up your own. With gas being 4 dollars a gallon it was best yall left SU right where we are at. We would have cost you 2 games in Normal with our entourage expenses.
I am surprised at you MD. BTW........why didn't AAMU ask the other West team not on your schedule to come to Huntsville? Why not pay them? Surely they would be cheaper than trying to get SU to come. I keep telling you there are only 2 East teams that we would play at their stadiums on off years.......JSU and Alcorn. Both are closer and both games would draw more fans than one in Huntsville. So the gate would be bigger.
JR, the more I think about it, ya'll mighta been scared to play Annie Mae. She has been all up in that azz lately. Also, if they wanted to give you half of the gate, I would have taken it just to laugh at their azzes.
Scared of what TP. AAMU has barely beat us the last 2 years. Even in 06 when we had all kinds of Qb issues they had to come from behind in Huntsville to win that game in the second half. You don't be scared of a game that doesn't count TP.
Secondly..........half their gate is less than what we will make hosting Valley. No travel expense. Your President would have fired you as AD if you came to SU for half our gate instead of having an extra home game. It aint about who will win the game. That is only a fans perspectative. You can't justify just going to Huntsville to laugh at them. Now if they had approached SU about some classic game with a promotion like Bama State and the city of Mobile did, then that would be different. You got to think business smart. It is amazing how you and MD think we are scared to come and was dumb to have an extra home game for our own fans. If we had done that........folks would have said we were stupid for taking half of a paltry gate that AAMU has. You know their fans rather socialize outside the stadium than to pay for a ticket. You know they don't show up like talking about. We would have ended uo getting half of nothing. Then you never know what record they would have at that time. What if they are having a bad year. We would have been stuck with half of an 8-10k crowd. Meanwhile we can get more money that in BR at our high ticket prices playing anybody. That's what folks forget. SU ticket prices are more than AAMUs.
I am still waiting on MD to answer why they didn't ask the other West team who is not a game that count to come to the Ville. Like we asked Valley to come to BR. Unlike going to Huntsville. SU and Valley will make some money in BR. LOL.
WHAT GOOD IS HALF OF 50
Was AAMU gonna ask you for half of their gate for coming to BR next year? See you ain't telling the whole story JR. You are paying Valley a pay-out (according to YOU) so you will be paying expenses (at least 150K to host a game) and payout expense to Valley. How much are ya'll paying Valley...are they getting travel covered on top of the payout?
But JR, they ruined your season and your homecoming. You cant put a price on that. Seems like kicking that ass would first on the list.
They didn't proposed that according to my sources. It was all about this year. Do you realize our tickets are 25 to 30 bucks a pop? Remember SU raised their ticket prices 2-3 years ago. Plus we get our concessions.........RV parking.........etc...
So paying Valley whatever amount and the cost for the stadium being open is still much more profitable than taking half of the gate in Huntsville. Also it is still cheaper to pay Valley. We have done it before with them. Nothing new. I don't know why you think it is more lucrative to go to Huntsville than to pay someone to come to BR. Aint like Valley is 8 hours away. That is no short trip for SU when they go to N. Alabama.
Then you have to think about your own fans. As much as SU fans like to travel.......you know damn well alot of our HBCU fans will not be able to roll like they used to with these high arse gas prices. Come on TP, you are smarter than that.......I think. Don't get caught up just trying to smack on things that make no business sense. Had we agreed to the deal..........you would been the first one laughing at SU for getting pimped to come to Huntsville for half of nothing like GR just said up there^^^. :lmao:
Dude, I don't think I would have been able to make it to the part about SU getting pimped becasue I am sure that SU would have them come to BR next year for NO compensation. I would have been laughing at po Annie Mae for being even more smalltime than I ever imagined. Selling half of your homecoming gate when they would probably make more by playing ANYONE and getting their normal 12K for homecoming. :lmao: That is so dumb of them...so dumb but that is called BAMA business.
$28-$52 .They didn't proposed that according to my sources. It was all about this year. Do you realize our tickets are 25 to 30 bucks a pop?
Well hell TP......you can still lol at them..........because they shole offered half their gate on homecoming. What big time program would even suggest that kind of deal. Could you imagine SU or JSU telling another SWAC school that we would give them half of our homecoming gate to come play us in a non counting year? 12 K huh......... So we would have gotten 6k ticket money? Man I could only imagine how HOSTILE our fans would have been toward our AD if he had done that deal...........he's already on the hit list from many Jag Alums as it is. He would be calling C-Leb nem for a job or applying for the PV AD job if he done that....:lmao:
Now we would come to Jackson on a non counting year if yall offered half the gate.......we would have to get some reliable gate counters though. That would make business sense. GR wants us to play yall in Jackson every year anyway. I don't agree with that.........but I can see it happening on those years the game don't count.
uuum dude, we ain't givin ya'll half of schitt unless ya'll giving us our half back the following year. That is the deal we used to have with Valley until someone realized that it really made no sense. If anything, you can rent Memorial from us the following year....that is the option we gave Valley and it works out about the same anyway.
Uh TP.........GR suggestion was to split the gate every year but play it in Jackson. I said no way we would do that. Now on the years yall roll off the schedule........we may consider something like that for the 2 years. I did say may.......we still probably wouldn't do it.
GR just does not like playing in deplorable and hostile conditions. I remember when JSU used to make everyone move their games because of this.
Also, like GR said...we did not ruin your season. You NEEDED to beat Annie Mae because you stood no chance of beating us. Had you beat them, you might have gone to Bham...when you lost to them, that automatically gave you two losses. ..and then UAPB was just better than ya'll too just like TP tried to tell ya'll the week before you played them. However, ya'll may have played with a little heart had you not lost to Annie Mae and still had a chance to face JSU in Bham.
Dude you really believe PB was better than SU. Like you said when yall lost to PV..........except ours was based on one play....A penalty cost us the game. We blocked their kicked and game was over. PB got lucky. Very lucky. Most SWAC refs wouldn't have called that flag for entering the field with the clock running out. Hell you see in the NFL all the time at the end of games. Oh well. I blame Pete for that loss. But in no shape or form were they better than us and you know it.
I guess we will settle for ruining JSUs season this year.imp:
jr
yall are right for not going to hicksville but not cause of the money. its such a drab dreary depressed place. except for a nice few people living there the population is the same. its always cold. I just talked to my buddy and they are sitting in front of a fire. its a damn shame.
and the sun never shines...just look at the pics....some days must be dark and dreary...but not all of them
