Will MVSU get an NIT bid if it doesn't win the SWAC tournament?

They even spurned the Swac women from getting a bid. JSU had a 23-7 record and should have been deserving. They have 4 .500 teams in the Women's NIT, you can't tell me that they weren't deserving. Time for the conferance office to help push our schools into this other post season tourny, they may not even know we exist as a D1 conferance.

It is a shame that nobody in the SWAC got an invite. JSU's women and MVSU's men were both deserving. I don't think we have been back to the NIT since JSU won the opening game in 1993. I remember hearing an excuse about attendance potential the last time that this came up.

Based on the type of ball I seen MVSU play, I think they should have received a bid in the NIT.

Valley should have been selected but this really a testament to how much we need to improve our league. We have some people who would think that their regular season champ is snubbed if they are left out of the Big Dance but we can't even get our conference champ into the NIT.....
On the women's side, with Jackson State, Alabama State, Alcorn, Gramling and Southern producing year after year, we might actually have an even stronger case.
