Why????

I think i've seen more Valley games than u have. We still shoot alot of 3's in general. If u go look at all of our shooting percentages you will see that we aren't that great of a shooting team. I don't care if u're running Mike D'Antoni's freewheeling offense, if u can't put the ball in the hole, u aren't gonna put up any points.

P.S. if u watched that TxSU game u would have also saw that we didn't shoot worth a damn either. U talk about our "bigs" like they were a factor. Ronald Alexander is terrible, and Jeffery Price was one of the better low post players we've had in a minute, but they never fed him the ball on a regular basis.
In my opinion. Ron is tall for nothing.

Maybe, we should start to supporting our athletics more and stop critizing them so much. As I watched the game, I could see that Valley's basketball players were intimidated by MSU and in a way I can understand why. They are told so many times that they cannot compete with the SEC schools.
We do not support them as much as we should. We need to start to attending the little games not just the big games. Even if we cannot make it to the games, we could at least buy season tickets to help them out. We need to start to making donations to our Athletic Departments at our SWAC schools. We may not have thousands of dollars to donate to them as the SEC schools do, but I am sure our schools would appreciate whatever we give them. Last but not least, in my opinion, we should let them know that it is how you play the game that matters. As long as they are doing their best, then they are winners in my book.

I'm seriously tired of excuses. WHY ARE YOU SCARED? 5 PLAYERS AGAINST 5. I don't give a he!! if they are ranked 1 in the NATION, go out there and play your best. ATLEAST TRY!

Price was decent by today's standards but he never lived up to any potential.....he would've been off the bench with Neal, Norwood and a young Alexander...

*season ticket holder right here*

once again my brother I respectfully disagree with you. Price was a testament that Valley does have decent coaching, because when he first got to Valley from Rulevile Central, he was as raw as sushi. Over the years his footwork improved, and he developed low post moves that he had no idea of when he first got there. I say he was one of the best low post players we've had in a minute because HE WAS. Willie Neal was simply a big man that bought into the team concept and knew his role. All he did was rebound and pass the ball (perhaps our best passing big man ever). Strib didn't ask him to score because he knew he couldn't. All of Neal's points came on garbage plays, putbacks, and etc. If anybody saw him when he played, Attarius Norwood doesn't even count as a low post player, because he always hung out at the 3 point line. He was 6'8, but rarely mixed it up on the inside. He loved to pull up for 3's. The only other guy of the top of my mind that I could come up with is Henry Jordan. Jordan was more of a finesse player, who loved that 15-18 foot jumper. He is probably the most skilled big man that we had, because he could score, block shots, and rebound. Jordan's problem was that he was really light in the pants, so he couldn't mix it up down low, and for some reason Vincent Jones of JSU used to always intimidate him.

George Ivory said Neal can score if Strib would've took the shackles off of him....I assume when you mention Jordan your saying in recent memory..Mark Bufird and Marcus Mann has to go down as one of the better post players ever at MVSU..

those guys were mean and took the position seriously...and we all know Al Ford's legacy....

for Valley to be Valley they need to go back to the old way of playing...having a style that resmebles everyone else takes its uniqueness away...

Playing that way was always fun because you knew they had someone who could shoot from the halfcourt line
