Why the Dallas Cowboys won't win in the playoffs.

Everyone is clamoring over Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys, but like most upstarts--they will fail. I'm not saying this because I am a hater, but there are some concrete reasons why I feel this way after watching them play with Romo at the helm.

1. Tony Romo will be figured out. Just like Rex Grossman, who started the season on fire, NFL defenses will figure out the Romo puzzle. Defensive coordinators are too good not to make adjustments to the Dallas offense.

2. What if Romo has a bad game?
The Bears have won when Grossman has had bad games, but can the Cowboys win if Romo has a bad game?

3. Terrell Owens drops too many passes.
You can't have a wide receiver of that nature drop ball in the playoffs.

4.Can Dallas really rely on Martin Gramatica?
There is a reason why he had not kicked in a year, so we don't know how good he is in the playoffs in the clutch. It won't be easy kicking field goals in Chicago in January--if they make it that far.

Dallas is hot right now, but when the postseason comes around they won't be facing the likes of Tampa Bay, Houston or the Redskins. They will face playoff tested teams.

You'd better be worried about whether or not Lovie Smith benches Grossman because you sure wont win a Superbowl with him behind the center. That and the fact that Harris and your best DT are done for the season. This post is just your mind telling you that you hope you dont see us in the playoffs.

And its simple to SAY defenses will make adjustments to our offense, well what adjustments are those? You fill up the box and we have T.O. on one side, Glenn on the other, and Witten as a TE who can open that middle up no problem. You sit back in a zone and we'll Marion Barber you to death. We have something you dont, and thats called a universal offense. We have a mobile QB, RB's that can get the job done, excellent receivers, a good TE and an offensive line that blocks.

Dont be surprised when we get further than the Bears in the playoffs.

You only average 6 yards more per return than we do with a whopping 3 TD's on the season. And if you want to use that argument hell we're better than the Bears in Kickoff returns. We're #3 in the NFC in rushing second to only the Falcons and the Giants, while the Bears are #9, so that point is moot. You lead by a whopping 6 field goals, but that doesnt mean shat because we score more TD's than you do.

You also LEAD us in GIVEAWAYS by 2 INTS and 8 fumbles. And as good as your defense is we lead you in rushing defense too.

That was not a bad game against the Giants. I'm talking about winning when your quarterback is throwing the ball to the other team 3 or more times a game, and has a 1.3 rating. Can the Cowboys win a game if Romo plays like that down the stretch? The Bears committed 4 turnovers against the Patriots on the road and only lost by 3. They turned the ball over 5 times against the Cardinals and won the game on the road. The Bears defense was on the field for 40 minutes and they still won the game last week. The Bears are always in a postion to change the game with their defense and special tems more than any other team in the NFL. In the playoffs defense will prevail rather than rookie quarterbacks.

This is not a fluke. The Bears have been ranked in the Top 2 in defense each of the last two years. Yes, the loss of Tommie Harris will hurt, but when you have two All-Pro linebackers and a saftey in Nathan Vasher that is a pro-bowler. Also the Bears are a deep defensive team as well with Ricky Manning and Charles Tillman making plays and getting turnovers. Honestly, I think the Giants and the Seahawks scare me more than the Cowboys because they are a much more balanced team, and they do not rely on their quarterback to win games like the Cowboys do.

If Rex Grossman plays like he did the first month of the season then you might as well book plane tickets to the Super Bowl for the Bears in Miami. No team can beat the Bears, or any team when they can beat you in many ways.

I'll take the Bears defense over any other team's offense in the NFC, and I'll bet most experts will feel that way to. It won't be easy going into sub-zero conditions in Chicago and winning.
