Here's the thing about that though, how exactly are "terrorists" defined and by whom? Were these same Taliban people terrorists when we armed them and trained them to fight when it was convenient and we wanted them to war against Russia? Or were the Iraqi's terrorists when we turned a blind eye to them using mustard gas against the Kurds? We didn't get a damn about them until they put that oil in danger by invading Kuwait. When they were gassing Iran we couldn't have cared less. And on top of that, half of them are caught and sent to Guantanamo and held without so much as even a trial. Personally, I don't trust the same people that used 9/11 as a ploy to invade Iraq enough to know who is a "terrorist." Because truthfully, all we really know is what our government spoon feeds us. Like the fact that they just so happened to admit those same folks that hijacked the planes and were watching them the whole time they were in flying school....and KNEW that they were taking flights back and forth across the country but never once learned to land any of the planes they were flying. And then within hours of the attacks they had photos of every single hijacker on the news. If you want to be real, those folks over there do what they do to us because of what we've done to their lands throughout history, Americans just don't want to hear it. And once we pull out of the Iraq that we all but destroyed there will be another generation of them just as pissed off. And not that I agree that they should have them, but do we really have the right to tell other countries who and who can't have nuclear weapons? I mean it all sounds good but it's nowhere near that simple realistically. We invaded a sovereign country just off of a "report" that they had WMD's so having a gripe about drone attacks not knowing how credible the info was that was used isn't exactly far fetched.
 



This Obama and the black people arguement and his following or non-following amazes me. The problem with this subject goes back to the plantation house and field black slave. Some argued leaving the plantation would be great. Some thought leaving would be a huge mistake. See what it boils down to is showing I am more eduacted then you. I got a better life then you. Most of the folks who are so gong ho about this issue actually have no dealings with the black community. They live in majority white areas. Their kids attend majority white schools. They feel as though black schools on any level is inferior. They don't support black businesses. Will sell you out in the work force for a dollar. Date and marry anything that isn't black or light bright half white. Yet they call the president out for being like them. Ha!
 
So folks are just supposed to keep quiet when they think the President is getting off track? Praise him all the time, but don't criticize him for anything? If that's the case, why not call him Obama Christ? LOL!!

I've tried explaining this to people in relation to gas prices. Prior to 9/11 and that bogus War on Terror in Iraq, people were pissing themselves mad over 1.80 for gas.

Now we get happy if it's right at $3.

American oil companies are rolling in record profits... yet they can't figure out why/how the government would lie about the whole thing. :shame:

Follow the actions. Follow the money.

I pretty much never agree with you because your arguments are usually simple and without merit. You're basically saying blacks should follow Obama just because which is the problem with black folk now, go with the crowd or else.

There's an idea. Maybe Cornel can push his pro-Black agenda through Congress. Maybe he can open up the Treasury and make it rain on Black folks. See how well that goes. Maybe he'll have a different perspective of the job Obama is doing if he actually tried to do something himself other than talk.

No, I knew you couldn't.:lol: When West and Smiley were both criticizing Bush Jr., I can almost bet you weren't upset with them, but since Obama the Christ is now President, he's untouchable and folks sure better not criticize him, especially Black folks.
This is no better than the conservatives threatening and ostracizing other conservatives who criticized Bush Jr.,even though they were well within their rights to do so.

The word for today is "Common Sense". Okay what grown person with a lack of sense believes everything President Obama is doing or did is correct? What person with a lack of sense thought he would not continue most of the policies of the USA doing his term? What person with common sense thought black America would turn around all of its problems in 4-8 years under a Presidents term/terms because he was black? What person with common sense really believed in a country where blacks make up 12% of a billion people that a black President would be only the President of 12% of the minority? Ok "Common sense", see how it applies here? :idea:

So what's wrong with criticizing Obama when it's appropriate? Why are folks getting all up in arms claiming that the President's life is being put in harms way because West and Smiley are criticizing his Iraqi foreign policy amongst other things?

Not to bust your bubble, but it is more like 12% of approximately 310 million, which is approximately 37.2 million. 12% of 1 billion is like 120 million. Although your numbers might be a little off, I get your point.

What has he failed at though? Is he not the President of the USA? Was he suppose to change the path of a country that has been this way since it was founded? Would you and these other folks expect the CEO or the President of your company to change the way it has been doing business or support the share holders of your company?

I just would like for black folks who think this dude was gonna change the way this country has operated for over two hundred years to share with me why and how they thought this. If I don't know why you folks thought that, I can't understand your view. Maybe if if you all could show me and explain it to me I could see. Educating someone is the best way to teach is point. I am open to all views. I don't share one side of the view is my point. I can name a lot of things I think he has done wrong, but i am also not naive to the fact he works for the majority in this country.

Never thought he would change the way the operated plus I never said thats why he failed. We can put 3 more black presidents in the office and it still wont change. I put 2 and 2 together and see things for what they are. The presidents that are elected are only carrying out a mission to keep the american dollar on top. If that means killing our own citizens in a bombing or offing a "terrorist" to invade foreign land to take control of the oil industry. That is all Obama cares about. The troops we sending over seas should be deployed to cities like Detroit and Chicago because its far worse in those cities than the cities in the middle east. If the president cared he would focus on protecting the people instead of the US dollar. How are you going to lead a nation when you are doing the same crap the other presidents did in the past?

You assumed that but that never came out of my mouth. I handle my business and do what I supposed to do I dont look for handouts. I handout and try to teach our youth. As far as black men being funny, who hurt you?
