Where can we talk about APR issues?

Lamar barely sends kids to college outside its elite players

Broadway knew A&T had APR problems way before he took the job
a

Maybe folks need to recruit those Lamar kids because they are smart and then coach them up. Allen Baugh was a smart kid that came to SU from Lamar. Decent LB too. Yall gone get the message soon. You better stop worrying if they are great players or even really good players. You better get some SMART players on your squad and coach them up.

Is this post ok:

Those dumb thugs need to go to class!

(I'm just trying to remember all the ground rules. lol)

NT

You can only call JSU players dumb thugs. Please refrain from this in the future

GR has gotten warnings from these horrible moderators (Fiyah,SOG) for doing the same
exact thing done to JSU last year.

It aint no fun when the rabbit got the gun. I just thought these cats were men enough
to catch what they throw. Oh well...

My assertion is that I don't think the onsies and twosies from academically inferior houston isd C-LeB listed above should negotiate enough attention from those who sincerely ride the academic wagon to attempt to recruit there. One or two non-normals doth not a district make. From top to bottom, houston isd is academically inferior. And while I'm on this stretch, you can throw dallas isd and ft worth isd in the same mix----> :retard:. Neighboring school districts are kicking those larger school districts in the ass <b>academically AND athletically</b> all up and down the state of texas lol :emlaugh:  :bawling:  :lmao:. Back in the day, it wasn't bad. In the last 20 or so years w/ the explosive growth in the outer fringes of all those major districts here, the outers have outpaced all the urban inferior districts.

TEA doesn't lie w/ its accountability system. :read: So, again my question is, if you're concerned w/ great academics coupled w/ great athletics, why in sans hell would one even remotely look @ a sorry hisd, disd, fwisd school when the GREATER and BETTER equipped student(-athletes) are actually out in the outer fringes? :retard: :D :emlaugh: Prairie View isn't serious about winning on the field or in the classroom lol. I know they're not because they don't recruit Montgomery county or Tarrant/Johnson/Denton counties but settle for sorry harris, dallas, and urban tarrant county. lol I certainly know who is serious about winning @ the FCS level though as they DO recruit those areas :swink: : Sam Houston St, Texas St, and Stephen F Austin. :swink: :emlaugh:  :bawling:  :lmao: That's why those schools CONSISTENTLY are putting their foot in PV's ass in ALL sports, excepting womens basketball lol, 99.97% of the time and seem to have a FUN time doing it lol.

Well I happen to know one Madison Highschool (HISD) kid on PV's FB team that will be a sophmore in the fall who made the dean's list for 2011-12 year...BTW he is not majoring in general studies either!

Also I know a kid on PV's FB team that will be a sophmore this year that is from the superior Cypress ISD who is in academic trouble so there goes your stupid theory!

Okay. Those 2 represent the WHOLE kabootle----> :retard:. Cypress kids are a better quality student than those hisd products and you know it's true. Sorry to burst your precious hisd bubble.

I'd assert the bottom 30-40 percentile of CyISD is eons ahead of the upper 10% of houston isd (even including hisd's precious magnet schools). :emlaugh:  :bawling: :emlaugh: I know y'all are hanging on to the onsies and twosies and that's great to TRY to save face.

If I hit up TEA's site, in a few :swink:, I'll give stolid proof on the inferior academics that houston isd tends to foster. :D :emlaugh:

I think if we could put 3 schools out of the SWAC (Jsu, sTu, and Valley) a lot of the conference problems would be mitigated.

You would then have a nucleus for a new conference:

Langston, sTu, Jsu, Valley, Tuskegee, Tnst, Texas College.

Baugh's parents went to PV so if they wanted him, he would've been down here as he was a decent lb...but like the rest at Lamar, he was no way near zoned to that school,,,he was supposed to go to Sterling...as many kids Lamar has snatched up from HISD out the zone they don't send many to FCS schools as alot have grade troubles

as for the district, don't let Panthro fool you as you don't see many other schools recruiting the black kids in those way out suburban districts also...they struggle as the support system is worse for them than in the city with folks who look like them not in key positions to help you...the good white kids ain't coming anyway and the average and below average white kid will cost you a job as fans don't care about a 1-10 team with a 940 APR

See that's the whole thing. Who is he fooling?

What coach is recruiting an entire school district? Mack Brown doesn't; Kevin Sumlin isn't. You see talent, review his transcript, sit and visit with him and his family, talk to his counselors at school and based on that alone, make an offer to him. You don't base it off of him just because he went to Jeff Davis High School in Houston.

Bullshit! I have seen TEA at work first hand. They all ultra political and reactionary and heavy handed with those they want to be heavy handed with. TEA is as full of shit as a Christmas turkey (as my great aunt use to say).

Obviously those universities that still maintain "General Studies" as a major. lol

In PV's case, they'd do best to bring their ass to Southland Carroll High School and the rest of the UPPER echelon school districts around the metroplex. As for the houston area, CyISD, Conroe ISD, et al suburbs run circles around houston isd schools <b>academically and athletically</b>.

I believe in TEA 10000000001%. The governing body that doles results and applies the tests (TAKS and STAARs) w/ zero biasness.

I'm going to enjoy watching the larger districts suffer through their piss poor performance, while being outshined by the better equipped academic neighboring districts, yet again. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I distinctly remember Panthro singing the praises of HISD and its great academic programs just a few months ago.

I distinctly remember <b>Panther88</b> singing the praises of hisd's magnet schools and its offerings (like disd's townview ctr et al magnet programmes), not the overall accountability status. The overall accountability rating is dismal and paints a very <b>HONESTLY acquired</b> lol negative light on the ineptness of the <b>students</b> (overall). :D  :bawling:  :lmao:

I wouldn't trust anything you'd have to say #1, because you've never EVER dealt w/ <b>TABS</b> (first off, so, you're over your head lol & you understand "LEAP" :swink: ) and #2, you cannot "distinctly" get my username correct.

P88--------------> :retard: Must be something awfully negative in that water supply of lake houston, y'all ain't too bright in that part of texas, <b><u>obviously</u></b> lol. :retard:

Magnet schools? You do know that many of the schools you down have magnet programs. BTW: Engineering, Yates: Communications, Lamar: Business, etc.

Wow. Welp, since I did NOT grow up here, am NOT native here, have NEVER attended ANY semblance of free public education for 14+ years here, I can assuredly state that I did not know that j4l. So, I'll STFU about it, since I know absolutely nothing about any of it j4l. Surely since I wasn't a product of one of the neighboring school districts that trounce(s/d :emlaugh: ) hisd schools historically throughout the years both academically and athletically, I'll just STFU. In fact, since I'm not a tax paying citizen of <b>2</b> :retard: of the upstart suburban deals that TROUNCE(S/D :emlaugh: ) hisd and disd/fwisd schools, I'll just STFU about it. :D

:D Isn't logic a wonderful thing? :emlaugh: Get better. Darwinsm, we live it. We're NOT our "brothers" keeper, period. Survival of the fittest. :D  :bawling:  Swim or drown. Sorry assed hisd, from top to bottom. :D

I'm done w/ the talk as I think it goes above a lot of you segregationists heads. lol

I'm all for recruiting the BEST kid, academically and athletically, regardless of ethnicity. Some of you all just want to target a bunch of academically poorer performing black kids, who also happen to be somewhat lower-tier athletically (look @ the fat OLs :smh: ), and that is where we share ZERO commanility. I wasn't taught to see color but rather see skill/intell regardless of race. Quite a few of you ne.groes obviously were raised to see "color" and are stuck in the boorish 1950s negative-back, obviously. How backwardsly dumb. And, how's that working out for all that have this mentality? Got APR issue? :emlaugh:  :emlaugh:  :lmao:

I' speak towards PVAMU because I'm not privy to whatever is occurring on other campuses. PVAMU needs to diversify severely if it <b>ever</b> purports to be semi-serious about winning and <b>dominating</b> @ any level- d-1. They, the powers that be, should ride 44.2 miles NE on the campus of Sam Houston State University if they need a roadmap to success both on and off the field. A funky assed 11% GSR and then the dumb assed football players cannot even muster up that percentile is nothing to gloat over. It's like the dumb leading the dumb<b>(er/est)</b>. Now, go drank your milk and choke on it. :dead:

Dude....

Nobody on here talking about exclusively recruiting kids from HISD. If Texas Southern can recruit athletes from The Woodlands, Kingwood, Second Baptist, Episcopal, Strake Jesuit, St. Pius X, etc... I would be ecstatic. I'm just pointing out to you to not paint all HISD student athletes with a broad brush that they ALL are inferior.

Hell, I'm not even a product of HISD but there are diamonds in the rough within every school district regardless of it's academic rating.

Speak w/ TEA about it and also some instructors and admins from <b>neighboring BETTER EQUIPPED</b> districts. I'm repeating <b>common parts of THEIR</b> speech(es) to me....word for word <b>"ACADEMICALLY INFERIOR."</b> Maybe you should attend one of the contests (athletics) and sit on the predominantly white side of the stadium to listen and entertain the dialogue. It's very, very eye opening. Doesn't hurt when you exchange e-mails w/ some and they continue their rants of <b>honesty</b>, as it's substantiated.

Sorry. The truth hurts us all. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D LOL@ "hisd, disd, and fwisd" lol

Maybe its not the kids
maybe its the school
if you have the worst APR in the country, its the school

One is what one recruits. THAT is where my issue lies. :|

Also, you cannot have figure-heads @ the top who are not (academic/athletic) astute. It's e-z to run athletic circles around PVAMU OOC because PVAMU doesn't field anything competitive OOC. Great victory winning the "SWAC Commish Cup." :|

(2011-2012 academic year) Southland conference - 37 victories vs PVAMU
(2011-2012 academic year) PVAMU - 1 victory vs Southland conference
[[something along those lines lol]]

:emlaugh: Where's <b>Texas Terror?</b> If some can get past their hate and acknowledge the PROBLEM... damn. :retard:

The rest of america integrated but the SWAC didn't get the memo. It's "Juneteenth" in the SWAC lol.

:smh: What a horrible testament. :shame:

That's funny lol. "Juneteenth" in the SWAC lol. Maybe Granger's descendants can continue the tradition & inform those who are obviously late getting on board.

We can't talk about about APR because a group of supposedly college educated adults look to put down the next school any chance they can get.

See the last 6-8 posts smh....
