Both traveled pretty well in 2021 to canton both had a nice crowd on both sides they haven’t played in the SHC since 1993. But when both teams have played each other both traveled well even in Vegas in 02 both schools traveled excellent

Listen I been following Grambling football for years. They not pulling big crowds as easily as they used to. I remember Grambling homecoming was a certified sell out and this year they had a lot of seats available on the visitor side, just like last year.
Bring back the ole Grambling. TSU is never a good school to compare to. We've had so many consecutive losing seasons, that'll kill any fanbase. Our last OFFICIAL SWAC Championship was over 50 yrs ago
Wins means asses in seats and yeah you get it!! But gram attendance was pretty decent and had good attendance at most traveled games

I said neutral. I was saying that GSU fans would not go to Nashville and vice versa. It would have to be a classic, both bands paid for, and neutral fans could come to fill it up.

Grambling is actually in good shape I believe. I believe in their head coach and Grambling has made MUCH needed improvements on campus (especially with the library) so that should help with recruitment.

400k, with 300k being split between band and football is not a lot. 100k for expenses won’t even cover everything for football and band from Thursday-Saturday, so this still doesn’t make sense. They’ll have to stop being cheap if they want this classic to continue cause these numbers are pathetic

I don't understand why the Memphis Mayor Paul Young come up with some funds to make payout better for JSU and Tennessee State. Tennessee State is at the point they can't be going to a classic that puts them in the negative when everything is set and done. JSU knows the value of their brand and fans, so they should not be signing up for classic where they don't make any money from.
It would be interesting to see if JSU and Tennessee State tries to bid out a game between the two.
The CIAA learn an important lesson dealing with Charlotte in that cities and businesses will try to take advantage of them, hence why the new bid agreement includes locking down hotel costs.

TNState doesnt deserve more money. They dont draw at home. They average 3K. JSU averages 30K. This could have been resolved by paying JSU at least $700K-$800K and keeping TNState at $400K.
As for Alcorn and UAPB, I think this is actually smart for them. They would probably go in the hole with a home game so even if they walk away with $50-100K, they win. JSU does not have negative revenue at home games.
You're 100% correct, the citizens of Pine Bluff and central Arkansas do not support UAPB!
