WHAT HAPPENED TO THE JUANITA BYNUM THREAD

Look stop putting words in my mouth, did I say it was "ok or right" for him to abuse her? Please cut and paste where I said, it was ok for him to abuse her.

Once again, whether anyone agrees with me or not [I don't care], knowing this man's history of being abusive, she placed herself in the position of being abused. She knew when he left the restaurant he was angry and when he?s angry he ?goes off.? So why not just stay in the restaurant, allow him to go about his business and attempt to rectify the situation later. It would have taken only ten minuets for him to leave the restaurant, start his car and be on his way.

Was she angry, more than likely she was?

How many of you have been angry at your spouse after a heated conversation has ended? One of you continued to agitating the other. One says to the other ?Honey or *&*** leave me a lone and either you do or you don?t? Now, most of the time the one will leave the conversation, if the other continue to argue, more than likely some physical touching will take place. So who was the agitator, continue to mock and run off at the mouth.

Folks, this is not difficult to understand, this is nor Plasma Physics were discussing. The problem is so many are caught up in Juanita Bynum; you cannot look at the entire situation. This woman followed him; it was not him following her. Why didn?t she get in her car and leave?

If the situation was reversed and she hit him with an object, how many would be saying she was wrong for hitting him? Very few, some will be saying ?He should not have followed her. And I would have hit him, if that had been me?.

Some of you sisters have been in abusive relationships and you the indicators of an abusive spouse / companion. You know when he is about to act a fool, so you leave him alone. You and the kids go shopping or somewhere out of his reach. An hour or so later, he calls and apologize. Ok, so you return home and all is well. However, you are mentally and physically alert watching his every move.

Does anyone agree this could have been avoided if she had remained in the restaurant, allowing him time to leave the parking lot? Has any of the sisters have ever allowed their spouse or male companion to ?just leave? in order to avoid any type of physical or verbal abuse. I know you will not "raise your hand" or say yes I have been in that situation and I had to leave, if not he would have hurt me and the children.

Come on get out of the Juanita Bynum mentality and look at the entire situation. I know some of you agree with me.

He could have left the restaurant without hitting, stomping, choking, beating her, whether she followed him or not. It has nothing to do with a Juanita Bynum mentality, but rather a (excuse my french)"ni99a should've never put his hands on that woman" mentality and after looking at the entire situation I've come to the conclusion that she didn't deserve to be beaten by that MAN, point blank.

News reported that the man is in some serious debt...left houses and did not pay for them. Owed for loans, etc.

I watched for about an hour and half. I really liked how she didn't bash her husband. As WRONG as he was for what he did, she still honored him as her husband and asked for his prayers.

Even though I'd like to tell her "You ought to BASH Mister's head IN and thank about heaven later" ---Celie ....I am glad she is prayerful and strong.

I watched that too. Who knows God can work out anything if it is what he desires to happen. God plan never fails. Only mans plan fails!!!!!

True.
I did notice that she wasn't wearing her wedding band/rings.

To say that when you're in your darkest hour, you are in your finest hour at the same time was pretty powerful. I totally understand what she meant by that. Anytime you're able to go through something so terrible in life and you're still standing, you've already got the victory and will come out that situation with more faith, more strength, more annointing and can be so much more effective in your ministry.

Bynum was right: we're living in a day where people don't want to solely hear scriptures. They want to know where you've been and have you already been down that road that they are on right now.

And to come back this soon after her very much public spousal beating to show the world that she isn't going to let Satan defeat her or her ministry is pretty powerful. This woman is brave. She isn't hiding or taking 6 mons- 1 year to share her story. She's taking this head on. You gotta respect that.

Well if the Spirit said "let it be" and she decided to follow him, then it's her fault. If not, that's like Spirit saying Dr. H., do not mess with those " hookers" and I do so, who's fault is it mine or the hookers if I catch AIDS?

Then there is the "spirit" if she listen to that one and not the Spirit, it's still her fault.

People have to stop blaming others and look at themselves. Whenever I make a mistake, I blame myself and not others.

Please remember that everyone that stands in the pulpit is not a " Genuine Christian." I think sometimes we are too quick to say a person is a "Genuine Christian" as the scriptures say's "A tree is known by the fruit it bears" Some of the biggest fakes I know stand in the pulpit Sunday after Sunday after Sunday preaching the Gospel of Christ. True Christanity, is reflected by the life we live.

This is also a great exaple that we shold "Judge not, Lest ye be judged."

Dang! I just, and I MEAN JUST read that particular scripture last night---got it in a sermon on Sonday Mark 11:22-27....and in the NIV, there was a note that verse 26 was added in .....it was not in the original text.

Crit: She was so raw with it! I liked that she told the truth...that part of her didn't want to come on the show and she was feeling depressed and that GOD WILL GET THE VICTORY AND PRAISE, "not because I am on the show but because GOD..."

I don't htink it is about being a fan of hers per se. I just think that people can identify with where she has been in her life.

She was on the news yesterday evening, too. And she was on TBN last night.

My question is, why did they have to have her in limo, police escorted, whisking down the streets and into a private garage? I thought it was a bit over the top...but, that is just my opinion.

Your thoughts?

I didn't catch all that. I just saw her speaking on the news.

It may have been a bit over the top but doesn't she do everything "over the top?"

I didn't see that part....but in all sincerity and honesty. If I had been stomped in my vagina, neck, head, stomach, arm and what not, I'd fear for my life. I would not be driving around. I would venture to think that "fans" of Bishop Weeks who dislike her could bring harm to her....but that's just me....

I saw her on TBN last night too. I wondered for a minute if it was an old show, but then I saw her hairdo was the same as on the news last night and she didn't have her rings on either.

I'm glad she's taking this head on. She had a very powerful message last night as well! I'm sure she has a lot of new viewers.

Yeah, I did the same comparison: to see if her hair style was the same.
I believe that show was taped here in Atlanta.

I think everyone agrees with this. There are others that will point out that it could also have been avoided by him simply leaving and not even looking back when she followed him.

I would not have had a problem just breaking out in a full sprint were I in that situation. I'm not scared to run from anything - especially an angry woman.
