Oh Shaela'.....
Well...looks like the QB from Houston Aldine may get the starting job at Oregon

Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, who helped lead the Ducks to the Pac-10 title and a Rose Bowl berth last season, faces a burglary charge in connection with a theft at a campus fraternity house in late January.

The Lane Country district attorney's office says Masoli and former Oregon receiver Garrett Embry were each charged Wednesday with one count of burglary in the second degree.

Masoli and Embry were scheduled to be arraigned in Lane County Circuit Court on Friday afternoon.

The district attorney's office did not respond to a phone call seeking further comment on the case. In a statement Wednesday evening, Oregon coach Chip Kelly said he was "carefully considering the latest news" concerning Masoli and would make a decision about disciplinary action on Friday.

A fraternity member reported that Masoli and Embry stole two computers and a guitar from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house on Jan. 25.

Masoli will be the Qb come the Fall. Watch Embry take the brunt of it. Phil Knight will make sure of it.:D His Lawyer is probably an OU alum:lol:

Look for Masoli to miss maybe the first couple of games. If any at all. I like how the article said the police was tight lipped about the investigation and the District Attorney is not commenting either. Some deal will be made and all will be good. Unless there is more to the story.

Well Masoli pleaded guilty to save a trial. But Oregon coach suspended him for the season. After the Blount situation, I imagine he felt he had no choice but to suspend Masoli. I wonder if he will bring him back sometime during the season.

Oregon RB LaMichael James got a 1 game suspension for his domestic dispute with his girlfriend. I thought he got off pretty good considering he had several charges against him that got dropped in the same court room Masoli was in. I am just shocked that James got off with just a one game suspension. Especially for a possible domestic deal with a women. :noidea:

Oregon star QB banned for season; RB gets 10 days in jail

EUGENE, Ore. (AP)
Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli was suspended Friday for the upcoming season by coach Chip Kelly after pleading guilty to second-degree burglary in the theft of a pair of laptops and a guitar from a campus fraternity.

Masoli, who had been mentioned as a potential Heisman candidate, will remain on scholarship with the Ducks.

"He does have a redshirt season available to him if he chooses to do that," Kelly said.
