For the record, there are songs that Band B hears Band A play and someone decides that it would be a great tune for Band B to do. Someone writes the arrangement for Band B and away they go. Band B always wants to think that their arrangement is better than that of Band A. So, we let the debates begin. This kind of thing happens all the time...and it should. It is part of the business of music.
Just think if Marvin Gaye had gotten mad at Gladys Knight about her version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine or Stevie Wonder worried about Peter Frampton's Signed, Sealed, Delivered or The Ohio Players at the Red Hot Chili Peppers for Love Rollercoaster.
