Tenn. State and Gram were handed those games. They had to do nothing but accept their gifts. Which they did. Unlike in those games, we didn't gift wrap TDs and safeties to SU. What y'all got, y'all earned, even with the trickeration.

Rob, I know you one of the smart ones, if not the smartest out of the Blue Bengals, but why everyone you lose a game, you say you gave it away. I've NEVER saw you say that the other team was better on that given day. Its always "we GAVE them a win". Everytime mane!

What gives mane? :)

We gave the Gram and TnSU games away. They were both better on game day, because they were smart enough to let us implode and do their jobs for them. I say that about those two games, because neither one of those teams would score on us, if our offense and/or special teams didn't do it for them. Our first possession against Gram, we drive to the GSU 40 and stall. Ball is snapped 50 yards over the punter's head and he has to kick it through the endzone for a safety. 2-0 Gram. They get a FG on the next possession from the short field. 5-0. Then our freshman QB throws the dumbest screen pass you'd ever wanna see to Christian Anthony, who runs it in for a 20 yard TD. 12-0. They get another safety from another snap over the punter's head from the JSU 30 or so ( we lost damn near a 100 yards from snapping the ball over the punter's head, and folk wanna clown our rushing yards). A turnover deep in JSU territory at about the 15 or so. That kinda crap is why I say we gave it to them. You and everybody else can say otherwise. But that's how I see it. They scored their only legit TD on one 50 yard run, when our defense is trying to strip the ball to get it back, and the RB took it to the house with a little less than 2 minutes left in the game. And I didn't even discuss the 4 times we drove to Gram's 10 or so, and snapped the ball over our QBs head a time or two for huge losses. It was a carbon copy of the TnSU game. We couldn't get out of our own way. Nothing the other team did. We were doing to ourselves.

I feel ya on the turnover deal... that's what cost us against PV, they didn't make any mistakes. When teams are basically evenly matched, the offense has the advantage over the defense. If they execute, the defense is at a disadvantage... PV's offense executed well, few mistakes (costly penalties that turn 3rd and short into 3rd and long). The two turnovers they had we cashed in on...that got us back into the game.

When a team isn't "shooting itself in the foot' they are hard to beat. Remember last year when we ran the table... check out our turnover margin. We got the ball often in scoring position and that made the difference.
