Have you ever participated in a kickstarter? The product looks interesting, I am not sure how many people would pay $400.00 for a shower for a shower when they go on the market. I would like to have one, but $400.00 is a lot of money. It does save you money in the long run. I can get one for $299 if I pledge in Kickstarter now.

A shower head produced by startup Nebia raised more than $1.3 million in two days on Kickstarter after raising initial funding from backers such as Apple AAPL, -0.08% chief executive Tim Cook and Google GOOG, -0.47% Chairman Eric Schmidt’s family foundation. The creators say the shower uses 70% less water than a typical shower head.

The shower head atomizes water to create millions of water droplets and a surface area 10 times greater than a normal shower. Nebia uses 0.75 gallons a minute compared with the industry standard of 2.5 gallons a minute, according to the company.

Despite the Silicon Valley investment, Philip Winter, chief executive and co-founder of Nebia, said the company wanted to turn to Kickstarter as a way to gauge interest and further develop the product.
