No....that was on FAMU's campus when Tenn St played FAMU this past football season of 2015..... The Marching 100 dared to have a BOTB with "THE CRATS" the night before the football game.....

It was funny seeing FAMUs crowd trying to pretend to be hype when they kept playing all of the marches and concert tunes knowing darn well they were getting crushed by Tenn State. Ain't no one getting hype off of Purple Carnival and Circus Bee. lol

Tenn St straight BEASTED on the 100..... But you know FAMU's pride won't ever admit that they took an "L" that night...From what I heard it was an awesome event, BUT CLEARLY Tenn St was the victor in that battle....

With the SWAC implementing the 7 game mandate in 2017, hopefully SU and Tenn St can renew its rivalry like it use to be.....
 
Now when it come to competing with TnSU. SU will have to get off that loud shit. You have to beat TnSU another way. Them MF's will jam on yo azz and some of there originals like Gettin it on, say lala, we came to party and a couple of more will eat you alive. Its just hard to touch them just being loud. A mf can blow has loud as they want, and TnSU ain't gone do jack but maintain there composure and still jam on yo azz. Lol. I love the aristocrats . Dnt let them be winning, you can hang it up. When I say JAM they gone JAM. I like tht "alright" they play. Especially those chords loud as fuck in person.

ROTFL.....you pretty much summed it up....We, (TnSt) will never match most SWAC bands in volume terms, but BEST BELIEVE we will ANNIHILATE, TERMINATE, CONQUER and DESTROY our opponent with being ourselves in having an excellent arrangement of all genres of music, with a groove and balanced,sultry ,soulful sound that is unmatched...

Oh yeah, that jam part that we do whether we are LOSING or WINNING the game is often referred to as CLUB TSU.....We play an INNUMERABLE amount of jam tunes for a countless number of minutes that are synced with one another , leaving the opposing band scratching their heads like "DAMN, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO STOP PLAYING".......

Now I like SU, cause they are good at what they do.....

The southern heritage classic battle is always the bomb. I love both bands. Two of my favorite bands. BUT COJACK DNT GET BESIDE YOURSLEF. Dats all I'm gone say. #luvdaboom. But I also adore TnSU feild shows. I'm not a big fan of feild shows but I can definently watch TnSU shows. They have this show band type feild show whereas a lot of bands have turned to this lets do the dance routine type feild show. I know to other TnSU fans it might seem like it's the same normal routine to them but to someone on the outside its definently a showcase.

Shid y'all definently matched the SWAC in 2012, hell actually surpassed. The only difference is y'all didn't over blow which made it even better. You all were verrrryyyyyy balanced and y'all marched around 275-300 I think.

LOL....Come on now......Nah, but on the real, I got mad respect for J-State as well...The Boom always packs a MEAN 1...2....punch during the Southern Heritage Classic.....TRUST.....but I always thought we were the most HATED, UNLIKED HBCU band by others.....We are liked by some but HATED by MANY.......See you guys in September...

Yea I just looked it up that's right 2014 and nawl I Dnt think y'all the most hated. I think the most hated is SU and most liked is the BOOM. No smack but not many think of the aristocrats when it comes to being hated or liked. A person still has to grow into you all style. It's not like the boom or jukebox. It's a lot less aggressive. Much softer in the words of haymar, not in a bad way though. Y'all still have a little of tht meac DNA which can be a little try at times so I wouldn't say most hated or liked. But AGAIN I THINK YOUR GETTING TO EXCITED OVER THERE. Your still getting beside yourself. Lmao

Nah, not getting besides myself at all......and you are right, Tenn St possesses more of that MEAC sound than the SWAC....can't argue with you there...

If only you knew....I have countless number of co-workers at my job from other HBCU's, and the funny part is that we (TnSt) don't even play a lot of these schools where some of my co-workers are from.....So with that being said, they are relentless on my alma mata about our band., when 9 times out of ten, we would wipe the floor clean...Ex. Norfolk, Hampton, South Carolina State, MVSU, and Grambling to name a few of where some of my co-workers are from....So I know it's trash talk....that's what makes it fun.....so that is why I mentioned we are the most hated HBCU by others....That is all.....

Dude we played TnSU 4 times and went right at them with technical tunes, ballads, and aggression like we do everyone else. With our book, we don't have to change anything up because we play stuff from all genres. That's what y'all fail to realize about SU, we stick to being ourselves no matter who we play. Heck the current arrangers on staff have that book darn near flawless.

I can't even lie. Tenn St band is funky as hell in the stands and will rock your ass ALL night long and like Jimmy said,if they are winning you might as well get in where you fit in because they won't stop playing! Always have a really full and clean sound which makes their volume loud. I always look forward to hearing them each year.

That's because Tenn. State has better arrangements than SU.
 
SU's arrangements remind me of the "Big Bad Wolf", they just huff, puff and blow, no musicality at all.
