The Boston Tea Party -- a riot featuring white participants -- is celebrated in American history.

Being the respectable black person, trying to avoid so-called stereotypes placed on us by a group of people who've never cared for our humanity to begin with, has been futile.

I think you are right, it adds to the "violent destructive nature" of black people narrative. We are not the only group of people who experience discrimination, but we are the only group that will destroy our own neighborhood because of it.

and yet, we are the most religious....

This is what I have a HUGE problem w/. I JUST told 2 guys who were about to square off on each other, while verbally disrespecting each other, that I will PERSONALLY take them to cut-n-shoot, texas so they can release some of that hostile anger on some folks who would LOVE to have them there and give them the fight they are seeking. Both of them quickly shut the foolishness down. smh If you wanna' act a fool, act a fool over there on those folks stuff.

White folks are historically the most destructive group of people on Earth. But black people need to be wary of the "violent destructive nature narrative?"

He's saying go destruct in someone else's neighborhood, not your own. People are going to destruct because it's in our dna to be violently destructive. But, why shit where you sleep? ::read:: Go over there and shit in their home and lets see how that turns out.

This is why riots are always stupid as hell to me. People gonna burn up their own stores and whatnot while people on the other side of town are thinking...look at these fools. And I think most know what happens if you go to that other side of town and try it..which is why they don't.

How is it their "own"? Most of the people don't own homes or property there. They definitely don't own the commercial property. They don't own businesses. All these communities do, in their eyes, is take from them. Not condoning violence or rioting, but let's put it in perspective. This is a "Black community" in name only. Blacks just happen to densely populate the particular area, but there is no economic prosperity occuring there.
 
I have no sympathy for those fools (rioters). They don’t comprehend the fact that the person who was killed had 23 bullets and a gun and refused to put it down.

That is why I say, ALL LIVES MATTER.

Wow I didn't hear that in the news!!! Who said that?? A police officer? 23 bullets?? If it's not in a magazine, you might as well throw pennies.
my new motto as a result of all these recent shootings and false information is: Believe nothing till you question everything! If Regan were alive today, he would not say Trust but verify, he'd say Verify Verify Verify!

Oh, I agree Europeans have a vast history of destruction where ever they go. But they don’t tear down what they need. Let’s go with your Boston Tea Party example. Those white folks threw tea overboard to protest taxation without representation. It’s not like they set the boat on fire or tore down the pier. Black people will tear stuff up and don’t even vote. Also, the colonist didn’t even need the tea because they could get it cheaper on the black market from the Dutch. However, those businesses in that community were much needed, more than the colonist needed tea….like a grocery store, a bank, and a gas station. They even damage a beauty shop. Those businesses are not coming back to that community and really could you blame them. There will be some people out of work or at least going periods of time without a pay check….all because some guy pointed a gun at a cop?

While I do think riots are worthless and stupid. I don't think y'all really believe blacks are scared to go in white neighborhoods. If they were scared of white people they wouldn't Rob them and Jack them in their own neighborhoods. White boys play tough on paper but stop fooling yourselves thinking white people can handle a all out urban race war. Most are not use to violence for real. I still think burning down property in your own neighborhoods is stupid though.

Yes rioting in your own community is silly. Yes there are folks who OWN in the black community and who are black. We keep forgetting about that.

Yes there are whites who fear us and many realize sooner or later those riots will come to their communities. Why do you think so many are pushing for gentrification? You spread those hood folks out and hope they get right.

That's what I'm so confused about. They keep saying "he had a gun" , but they are not saying he pointed this gun at the officer. Only that he had a gun in his hand. How many times have they got folks to give up even when they have had all kinds of weapons with them. If it was such a straight forward case about this weapon, why haven't they released this photo, it can't be that hard.
 
Heard that the officer that shot him was black. Have been a bit too busy to do much research on this one, so I can't verify that. Have also read that he definitely had a gun, and is said to have had "more ammo than the police". That still doesn't equate, however, to pointing it at the officers. However, having it in hand and refusing orders to drop it is yet another thing. I dunno what to think yet.

I am of the opinion that the riots are stupid. Not in the sense of it being the language of the oppressed...I get that. But I never can get with the fact of tearing up your own community, with the goods and services that help sustain your own community.

I did see a couple of interesting videos from what was said to be a sister and a brother of the victim.



The sister also said that the officer and her brother knew each other from high school.

"The boy knew my brother personally from high school. They knew each other. You knew exactly how my brother was and you shot and killed him," Smith said.

During the interview with FOX6 News, Smith said she is skeptical of the ongoing investigation, adding that if body camera footage shows her brother holding a gun, she still will not believe the officer was justified in firing his weapon.

Poor, undereducated Blacks are a disenfranchised people. Believe it or not, but there is a portion of the US population that don't really see themselves as "Americans". They don't feel included. They are just existing. This is their mindset. Granted, there is a large portion of criminals and ex-con's out there doing the most, but even a dumb thug knows not to destroy what he/ she feels is their "own". Having said that- the very communities they dwell in, they don't see them as their own.
