I believe he's going to hold out for 3.0 , it's in the beta stage right now. There is not that much difference in 2.2.9 than what we have here. If you have been seeing new stuff, they are mostly hacks of the software. I have been looking into some of them and we may be implenting some of them here in the near future.

I only asked because I was on a sire using 2.2.9, and I asked them why they didn't use all the features and hacks that TSP had and it was only using 2.2.6. HE said they had to be careful about adding hacks to a forum, he had suggested it many times, but that 2.2.9 was more secure. He mention security, but I don't know of much else better in 2.2.9.
