J-State Tiger

Senate Candidate #7
usm

Can we talk honestly and frankly for a minute? I want to talk about Bigtime and smalltime college football. Do you all really think that your "program" enjoys some type of national recognition? Tell the truth. you just have a football team because ole Piss and State have one. I know it is the thing to do.

JSU is not Memphis or Texas Christians. Do you realize that Robert Kent will be the most dominating football player to play in hattiesburg ever? Didnt you only score 3 on UAB? this is sad.

Bottom line is that USM is not a respectable program. Never has been. never will be. My question is, do you realize that you suck, or are you just stupid?

PS - If you are "1A" and your biggest game of the year is against a 1-AA school, you are...

USMalltime

USM: Why did you want to schedule JSU? Seriously.

USM: We are the SWAC, we don't care (as well as the rest of the nation) about you. Why? Because you have never dominated your division during anytime of your history as the SWAC has in ours.

USM: Pick a state. Hell... go to the state of Alaska. Ask any eskimo with a TV if they've ever heard of DI-AA Grambling, Jackson State or Southern, then in that same breath ask if they've heard of d-ia powerhouse USM.

USM: Who within a half mile radius outside of Hattiesburg has ever heard of you?

Oh yeah... and another thing...

"Tell Brett that I've been meaning to get that check to him."

Even USM bows down to Texas Southern. :smh:

Yea, Kent will no doubt be better than Brett Favre. I am sure they are warming up those NFL MVP awards for Kent. When our defense gets through with Kent, he would wish he was getting slaughtered by Tenn. State again. Dream on , dream on.

Robert Kent won't even be the best quarterback to
play in Hattiesburg this year, much less alltime.
Dave Ragone from Louisville can run circles around
Kent.

Who???

Robert Kent couldn't make a Sun Belt team! Nobody has heard of him and nobody will remember him. He's never seen one of the best defenses in the nation....and he'll be glad he plays SWAC ball after he faces it at the Rock.
Welcome to the big time fellas. Ask Nebraska, Alabama, and Illinois if they know who Southern MIss is. We'll ask Lehigh, Clinton High school, and McLeod Elementary if they know who JSCC is!

Now this is really sad.

Duly noted that you didn't mention either of the THREE scrubs that y'all got. You know, them scrubs that sat behind the great JEFF KELLEY.

Lemme see, Nebraska would say, "yeah we know USMalltime. We paid them about $800K to give us a win."

Bama would say, "sure we know USMalltime. We pay them about $800K to come to Tuscaloosa (may as well be Takealossa to USMalltime) EVERY YEAR to shuck and jive for us. And they don't even bother with trying to get a return visit from us. Because if we made up for all them visits they made to us, we wouldn't play them in Tuscaloosa ever again. And they just happy to get the scraps we throw them. It feels good to help the unfort . . . we mean less fortunate"

Illinois would say, "I don't know who USMalltime is, but we going to some hellhole called Hatersburg, and we gonna beat the snot out of them. And we ain't going back."

At one point during the season, Mr. Kent was leading the nation in total offense.... the entire nation!

That means that he was ahead of Grossman for a while. Let me let you in a little secret.... You have not seen an opposing QB like Kent. They don't make 'em like THAT in C-USA. Patrick Ramsey has moved on. So that leaves C-USA wth only one top notch QB... Ragone. Kent would start anywhere in your conference.

And to make matters worse for you, Chad Williams and Leo Barnes no longer roam your secondary. This will be uncharted territory for you defensive backs. Afterall, look who they've been going up against in spring practice

What a joke!!!

"Mrs. Kent" was playing against the WORST competition at the Division I-AA level! To compare her to Rex Grossman is the most ignorant thought process I have ever seen on this board. She couldn't even be a walk-on at UAB. Get real. Mrs. Kent may well quit football after the beating she takes against the Golden Eagles.

Yea, Yea Yea........Sounds like what all of the Monday Morning Quaterbacks said about Steve McNair..........You know the rest of the story Paul Harvey.

REMIND ME WHO IT WAS THAT DRAFTED T C TAYLOR

He's seen one for the last 2 years!!!

What do you guys actually think you can do against Kent?

I can't help myself...

"What do you guys actually think you can do against Kent?"

Anything we want!!! Kent will see more blitzes, more confusing formations, more speed, more strength, more of his throws in black and gold hands, and more grass in his facemask than he saw in all the games he played in last year combined. The question should be stated, "What do you actually think Kent can do against one of the best defenses in DIVISION I-A?" He can't do squat.

Pick him 3 or 4 times, hold him to under 200
yards on at least 50 attempts.

The guy isn't even ranked in the top 25 for
passing in 1-AA. We faced at least 3 guys in our conference last year better than Kent, Dave Ragone, Pactrick Ramsey and David Garrard.

LMAO!! Luckily we are only playing USMucks.

Look fellas, You are only USM. You are not Florida or Miami. You are not on their level. Sure your d may look good when you are playing the likes of UAB and Memphis. You dont have one of the best anything in 1-AA.

What's your point??? Ryan Leaf got drafted 2nd overall. Rick Mirer and Heath Shuler were top 5 picks. Jeff Kelly was the worst QB in all of football. But he knows exactly when to lay down (thanks Todd Christiansen).

You better keep your eyes on that waiver wire. Kelly will be back in Hatersburg shortly. Maybe he can sell insurance for Alpha, Allstate or State Farm.

I want to know what deal Jeff Kelly made with the devil to get drafted. That dude was terrble.

hey Meagle

Were you a big jeff kelly fan when he threw that game against Louisville?

If your coaches think like this, you guys are going to be in for a VERY, VERY long night! Just be thankful that you will not have to face TC, Storey, and Goss! Thanks ahead of time for helping Kent increase his draft status!;)

You mean the Jeff Kelly that won the Conerly Trophy for being MS' top collegiate athlete?.... Oh, that was Eli Manning (Sorry)

You mean the Jeff Kelly that finished 2nd in that voting?... Oh, that was TC Taylor (Sorry again)

So you must mean the Jeff Kelly that finished 3rd in the voting? Dang, that was Robert Kent. (Again, sorry)

So no USM player was considered for that award, while 2 JSU Tigers were? Wow, who woulda thunk it?

So was Walter Payton.... the best NFL running back of all-time

So was Jerry Rice.... the best NFL WR of all time

So was Jimmy Smith... the NFL WR with the most receptions of the past 6 six seasons

So was Jackie Slater.... an NFL Hall of Fame OL... how many pro-bowls did he appear in anyway?

I didn't "compare" him to Rex Grossman. I merely stated an undisputable fact. Now which one of your 3 scrub quaterbacks could have led the nation in total offense in ANY conference at ANY point during the season? How about after any given game?
Do you think Jeff Kelly could have done it?

WOW I GUESS SPORTS WRITERS IN NORTH MISS AND IN JACKSON KNOW MORE THAN NFL COACHES AND SCOUTS. WHODA THUNK THAT

Yeah, Seattle knew enough to waste one of their LOW round picks on someone who they could easily CUT if he didn't pan out while New England SIGNED Taylor to a contract!
Yes, Kelly went on to sign as well. (Congrats). But not many 6th round picks are on the team's opening day roster. Seattle merely took a "chance."

Funny how he wasn't on anyone's draft board though
