WASHINGTON: Barely disguising mutual antagonism, the United States and Pakistan on Thursday threatened each other with military action in the aftermath of the American raid on the Abbottabad compound to kill Osama bin Laden, even as sober elements on both sides scrambled to save the relationship from total breakdown.

The White House led the way in publicly reiterating that it would not hesitate to carry out more such special operations in Pakistan if it did not act against terrorists holed up in the country. A lengthy Pakistani foreign office statement that the US incursion could not become the standard operating procedure or precedent for US or other countries did nothing to dissuade Washington from re-asserting the tough Obama policy: if there are terrorists inside Pakistan and it does not act, then the US will.

In fact, the White House itself surprisingly framed Sunday's raid a war context. "The operation was conducted in a manner fully consistent with the laws of war," Obama's spokesman Jay Carney said while discussing the Osama kill. "There is simply no question that this operation was lawful... We acted in the nation's self-defense." The remarks appeared to address Pakistan questioning the legality of the US action.

So Pakistan is embarrassed and now they are mad? The should be angry and if they were told we probably wouldn't have gotten Bin Laden. I really believe that they knew he was there.
 
I also believe they knew he was there while accepting billions of dollars from us.

If they want to jump bad, then it's their move. Do what they feel like they have to do.

People been saying OSAMA was living in Pakastan somewhere being protected by the locals. Wether it was in the mountains, in a cave, a village...........SOMEWHERE. Everybody knew this. :lol:
 
I was listening to Oliver North's take on Pakistan, he basically said that there are some Pakistani's in the govt. that you can trust with your life, but there are a lot you can't even trust to take out your garbage. I find it hard to believe that this mofo was located pretty much near the back door of their equivalent of West Point surrounded by 100,00 Pakistani troops, intelligence operatives, and officials and them bastids didn't know what was up. We basically got that mofo because them corrupt bastids wanted that 25 million dollar bounty. Like I said before, I hope India nukes their asses!

I guess it's like getting caught cheating by your girl and getting mad at her friends for them telling on you. You have no recourse or outlet but to pass blame on the fact that the only reason you got caught was cuz they snitched instead of the fact that you cheated.

Pakistan is just embarrassed. They don't really know how to clean up their own country so they have no idea what to do but lash out.

I think Pakistan knows they don't want to 'jump.'

Eh, I mean they were smart enough to orchestrate an attack on a large enough scale to basically cripple wall street, destroy the two largest buildings in the US and strike the Pentagon all right up under the governments nose. Having the most powerful military doesnt really mean much in this instance. Im just sayin though...

How didnt they know what it would do? I mean wasnt that the reason they targeted the buildings that they did? I guess you forget that 9/11 wasnt the first time that they attempted to bomb the trade towers. They knew what they were doing. That's one thing about Americans, we tend to automatically assume that some of these people are stupid. From the WTC to the train bombings in Madrid, they may be radical but they're definitely not dumb.

They didnt know. Bin Laden said that in his own words. He didnt know "exactly" what would happen, he just played it by ear.
 



They may not have known about wall street, but they knew what would happen to those buildings. It was the second time they had tried to bring em down.. and succeeded the second time.

Nope, they didnt know about that either. They "assumed", but they didnt really know. It was like they were "hoping" it would happen, but not even at that scale that it happened. They were just trying to bring down the top floors above where the planes hit.

Everybody hits a home run every now and then. Nobody is saying we can't be hit. What we saying is will the effort be worth the pain the U.S. will inflict. Funny part in all of this, the U.S. ain't come close to what they could do to a mofo military wise. If the U.S. just say fugg world opinion and go for it, those countries in the Middle East would look 50 times worse than Europe did after WWII when we got finished rolling through.

Heres the sobering truth about fighting these guys.....WE have to be successful EVERY single time to protect U.S. citizens, THEY only have to be successful ONCE to achieve their goals!

Still say BIG DEAL because they have been doing that since the Lebanon Marine Barracks bombing back in the 1980's. Ain't like these mofo's was going to stop. Osama dead or alive, these fools are going to wake up every morning thinking the same thing. Death to America.
