ULM PUTS STIPULATIONS ON GSU TIGER MARCHING BAND

Hell naw, hell they wouldn't come.

I guess they feel like they have *home band* advantage to ask such a thing. :noidea: LMAO, that dayum ULM. I guess they won't have a fifth either :noidea::lol:

Regardless of the letter, I think Pannel should take his 'cues' from ULM's band.

If they play when they have the ball, Grambling should do the same..
If they play at the end of the quarter, Grambling should do the same...

Yanno?

From the 2007 NCAA Football Rule Book

I am willing to bet that this rule is violated at every single HBCU game in the country. But what makes this even worse is that the officials don't do anything to enforce it. They never throw flags for it.

This is the reason why the band director felt he needed to "school" Dr. P. because Dr. P has violated this rule at every single game this year with the exception of the Pitt game (I wonder why?).

but SOGGY,
Isn't it the job of the officials to enforce the rules and not the band director from the home team? :scared:

smdh that a band director would tell another band when they are allowed to play.
:smh::smh:

what's next, they gon send a letter telling Gram how loud yall can cheer and when.

sorry, but I think Gram need to tell ULM's band director to kiss their arse!

It was like finding a needle in a huge hay stack, but I knew it was something I liked about you. :emlaugh:

well since i am in deep in the WF band all this is tre about the letter. It was told to us that we cant play, basically. At the end of each quarters they said they hae special messages which means we cant play. then the said that they have set different times for their band to play. We are to do a field show 7 1/2 minutes on and off, we are to leave when the game is over. So you tell me, is this the "white man or the white woman?" Pannell has been avoiding their director because of this ****. We as a band wanted to stay and not go to the game because all we are goin to do is sit there, but we are obligated to attend. so when we go out there and dont play any songs the whole day its not our choice. when we got out there ant actually walk through the dayumn field show its because we want to. Pannell follows the rules so dont expect them to be broken UNLESS, we are already beating their areses in football.

After Reading Bone O's response, it's true. NLU/ULM do be announcing alot of BS during the game. They have so many sponsors, alumni activities, horses, and Indians going on throughout the game- it would be difficult for the bands to do their thing during the game.

O WELL Gram.

Ya know....I wish all the SWAC bands would go on strike for a season just to see what happens for those that complain that the bands play too much. The big school bands may not always play as much but the SWAC doesn't have a big school product on the field either.

I agree MH.

That letter had shades of the white man trying to tell us Negros how to act when we come to their house. Which is an insult.

If I was GRAM, I'd write back and say have a nice game cause we won't be there as a marching unit.
How in hell can another band director dictate when another band can play.

If Gram band play's at a time that's not within' NCAA rules, then the REF's will let them know.

I would have sent their director a video response with nothing but this on it.

Dayum, that sounds like a circus instead of a football game.

Man......................If ya'll abide by this shat then ya'll can't say nothing.
ULM's band director laying down the law. :lmao:

Even USM knew better than to do some shat like this.
That would have been an invite for JSU Fan's and Band to clown even more.

It was damm near a roit when a rumor was going around that USM had asked the J-settes not to perform the last trip down to Hattiesburg.

Of course it was not true but you get the point.

Grambling needs to get to the game early and just start running their book during pre-game. Nothing was said about playing before the game starts. Get in the stands and play everything. If ULM's band tries to play, drown them out.
Grambling's band has been all over the world performing. Who is this band director to sit there and tell the "World Famed" what they can do and when they can do it? I would have sent him a nice letter back stating the history of the band and telling him that I will not change my halftime show for you. I will dictate if we dance or not...not you. This is my band and you don't tell me how to run my band.
I would sit back and watch what happens at the end of the first quarter. If they have legitimate presentations then fine. If they do a presentation and then their band starts playing, it's on!! I'd call up a song right there on the spot.

More reason for us to stomp a mudhole in their asses...anyone who can't see what's going on simply doesn't want to see it. They should call this the BLACK AND WHITE classic.

Gram need to play whenever they feel GRAMBLING Football team and fans need the "pick me up".

What is ULM's band director gonna do. :noidea:
Make a bee line across the fieild and kick ya'll's arse.

Grambling need to send them mofos a copy of "Season of the Tiger" and let them see how Grambling blew SU out at the Bayou Classic that year!!

Don't they know who they fuggin wit...
:upset:

Why are you asking me this when saw in my post where I said it is sad that the officials do not enforce the rules.

I am agree with this part.

IF Pannell bows down to this stupidity, then Grambling will TRULY be worthy of the name "World Shamed"!:what:

I wish Houston would try some ish like this on the "S" next year ...... boy, Robertson Stadium would be a fool that night.

Gram, I really didn't care about the game, but these bottom-feeding Hawks gonna tell you band when y'all can play. Hell, as long as you don't break NCAA rules, plant that ish in they azz. I mean go for the silent play or whatever it's called during play and let that ish ride otherwise.

NW State ain't never told us that.
Nicholls ain't never told us that.
ULL ain't got the balls to tell us that.
Hell, LSU wouldn't give a damn.

Beat them planes to death today! :flamethro
