JayRob, they like it, I love it. You know that we look at $ and cents. Not to mention the fact that if our boys have to travel awhile before being at home that it plays a toll on them. I remember when our schedule had our first home game somewhere in October, we nearly want to beat Culberson's butt.

It's not like we are playing someone on the road 2 years straight. We had more HOME games last season (including in Chicago & Little Rock). Unless we found a 1AA to play us a home-and-home with us at home in 2007 instead of taking on NMSU, we knew we would have more road games. Our schedule will have more home games in 2008. It is what it is.

We are doing what HELPED us last season. We are playing a TOUGH OOC schedule (with an upgrade to NMSU from 'Skegee). We will be able to gauge how good we are early in the season. We ain't necessarily worried about stacking home games.

The conference games are home and home series. One year, we will have 5 home games, the next will be 3. The two non-conference games are away. One of the two is a money game (NMSU) and the other is a home-n-series (SIU). The other remaining games are conference games. Next year, the 6 SWAC games will be in PB/LR with one non-conference game in PB also (total of 7) and 4 road games (TxSU/PVU/ASU/non-conference-money-game).
Its not like we went and gave away our home games. You can find something wrong with anything can't you. Go play with your toys.
But, we are playing SU on that date.:emlaugh:
Good schedule, Pine Bluff...expect a good old-fashioned beatdown, come 11/10/07!
NM ...going back there is a financial thing.
I am beginning to believe tht we just will NOT beat MVSU even when we are better than them...jinx.
I think we will lose one conference and one non-conf game. The loss will not be to that jinxy MVSU. We are breaking that this year.

We had a choice of scheduling up (NMSU) or down (a D2) after we dropped from the Gateway Classic. We chose UP.
One thing about dude, we are the one's that have to eat that cake. So don't let it worry you like that.

If you didn't know, Little Rock is 38 miles from Pine Bluff. That could hardly be considered an away game.

How can you honestly call playing in another city, AND on another field a legitimate home game? Folks will try and justify anything these days.
