TXSU TIGER FOOTBALL WILL FINALLY GET THEIR OWN HOME!

This.....

Will not fit in this....

And keep the track too....

No matter how you turn it.

But you can work with this, in that same place and keep the track.

LOL, Look at the sidelines of this stadium. The officials would have to work on the area inside the track. The coaches and players would have to stand on the track. At the top of this picture the corner of the stands are already up against the parking lot. In that parking lot big utility lines run down the middle of the lot. TSU don’t control that lot. We have the right to use it at its current use, but that’s it. Look at the bottom of this picture you can see the student center damn near on the track.

I wish I could post a picture of the power lines.

I looked at a five acres tract of land off of Blodgett and Live Live Oak where the Unity Bank sits. The land alone is on the tax roll for five million dollars.

I guarantee that there are professionals that know what to do to make this happen....

The nay-sayers know also. I still don't know what the students wrote into that resolution nor exactly what they want, but if they're willing to shoulder enough cost for it,....well as you said there are those with know how.

Like, some people screaming easement and some people screaming space but don't realize how far they actually walk on the Tiger Walk from the edge of the entire field are to the Rec Center. Lol there ARE drafters and construction engineers who literally could show them in minutes how it would fit. The issue again is parking outside of existing parking. Not to mention we have area where old tennis courts are if we truly got creative.

:-/ I'm calling uncle to discuss what he's planning to do w/ great-unc's former juke-joint spot that sat down the street from sTu. Geez... *cha-ching!*

Hope the venture turns out well for your sTu. Your alums and your students deserve a 1st class athletic venue on campus, if possible. Those power lines w/ that easement? How did that come to be on sTu's campus? Never understood that.

I guarantee you an architect would tell you you cannot fit that Cy Fair ISD stadium in that area without tearing down a couple buildings.

BTW, drafters only draw what the architects and engineers tell them to do.

It isn’t bad but we just want something to call our own and look like our own! Just tired of settling (and yeah we know it was and is for the best to be at BBVA) but a stadium would definitely help attract the 15k enrollment they are striving for and help increase school spirit!
The question I have is will the students really attend the games on campus? From looking at attendance numbers over the years at TSU, I noticed that there hasn't been much student support at games.

For starters, they need to find an architectural firm that specializes in spatial analysis when it comes to facility planning.

And like clockwork concerning TSU, I could've guaranteed you saying this. Fortunately for you, you can go back and see where I said tear down the standing rec. And yes, the current fieldhouse would come down too. But the only guarantees I want to see are supporting these students and this University. Thanks but no thanks. Again, we need to listen to our students going forward and adjust and fund ourselves accordingly. "Can do" and "done" are where HBCUs need to be..well to be honest, it's where mine needs to be. I'm not much concerned with yours as far as this is concerned.

We didn't have the same amount living on or near campus at that time back then. Houston is a different city and so is our campus now.

Better hurry up before the gentrification really starts coming through
