I tried watching this show the other day and I just can't get with this show. Wolves, Vampires, Spirits I just can't get through one episode without changing the channel.

It caught my interest and I thought it was interesting. It can get a little out there sometimes, but I'm still entertained by the storyline. Different strokes for different folks.

True Dat!!!

I'm a Huge Fan of the show... it's Fantasy... Great storyline.. very entertaining.. however, if you catch the show by accident... I can see how you could not get into to it... You would be lost.... Just as the final few episodes have already set up the plot for next season..(i.e., Russell coming back, Rene telling Arlene that Terry is No Good, Tara & Jesus dies, etc.)

I believe if I started looking at True Blood from this season only, I would probably not be interested either. My wife, who has read the books, got me interested starting with season 2. I find the characters extremely interesting. Although there is sex and violence in the show, they are not used as a crutch to carry the show. I like how they have a different mythical creator/villian in every season.

Its the excellent writing, story telling and my love of science fiction / fantasy. Its a very engaging and entertaining show.

I understand the points you all make about the show. I like science fiction also, but the different characters and storylines is what has me confused. Like most of you say, if I had watched the show from season one maybe I could follow the show. I just can't get through one episode.

I had my girl go back an watch season 1 before the start of season 2 - then she was hooked.

Tried to watch an episode a year or 2 ago. Saw somebody pull out a heart or something and try to eat it....that was enough for me....

Lafayette is hilarious...but remember in Season two when they said his mother (Alfre Woodard) had "the sight" but now she cannot speak and they got her in a nursing home...
