I wonder how many players still in the portal from summer/fall 2021 or did they just give up playing football...
What’s his name?It was over 40% last year and probably will repeat itself this year
Still thinking about a former 4 star that went from starting a P5 game on TV to begging for a shot at UAPB
which leads me to think they just quit playing college football all together...I think those transfers in the portal got offers it's just not the schools they want to play for.
Isn't that also the case with a lot of kids when they are being recruited out of high school? They get offers, but it may not be from the schools/coaches they want to play for. I still say you better think long and hard before you enter the transfer portal.I think those transfers in the portal got offers it's just not the schools they want to play for.
Truth. They believe they are elite level and above the not so famous brand names AND HBCUs in general.I think those transfers in the portal got offers it's just not the schools they want to play for.
Well, sometime one must swallow one's pride and get in where you fit in. Hey, I am just saying.Truth. They believe they are elite level and above the not so famous brand names AND HBCUs in general.
They are football players, not student-athletes.
Agree, they also need to think long and hard on who advice they listen to.Isn't that also the case with a lot of kids when they are being recruited out of high school? Probably most likely. Just some people, if they're not getting the jobs they want, they sit and bitch complain about the situation and don't realize there other opportunities available for them.which leads me to think they just quit playing college football all together...
They could be informed anytime. But yes, scholarships are year to year.Someone posted in a thread, that scholarships are year to year. If that is true, when a school decides not to renew an athletes's scholarship, when do they inform said athlete? That could be just one of the reasons why kids enter the transfer portal.
One of my friends son stopped playing because he wanted to transfer and it didn't work out. He told him if he couldn't play basketball at a P5 he didn't want to play anymore. He was looking stupid when three of his former teammates from his school went over seas to play ball making bank. LolI think those transfers in the portal got offers it's just not the schools they want to play for.
That was me when I was young, and just getting out of college. I did not get the job I wanted. But if the truth be told, not getting the job that I wanted, probably was the best thing that could have happen to me.Probably most likely. Just some people, if they're not getting the jobs they want, they sit and bitch complain about the situation and don't realize there other opportunities available for them.
Lord have mercy. SMHOne of my friends son stopped playing because he wanted to transfer and it didn't work out. He told him if he couldn't play basketball at a P5 he didn't want to play anymore. Correction-Way too many of these guys let those stars go to their head and think that they are a lot better than what they really are

I'll treat this as a relationship, if you leave me it's know coming back. They have to be smart, if you barely playing at uapb who else wants you? Watch joshua short who was at Southern this past year and watch how his career pans out.You hit the nail on the head. Look at the article I just posted.
