STARKVILLE – It didn’t take long for Mississippi State to fill the void left by departing tight ends coach Mark Hudspeth, who is leaving the program after one season to become the head coach at Austin Peay.

Hudspeth was also one of State's best recruiters, and his replacement on that front is revered in the Bulldog community: Tony Hughes. Rachel Richlinski of WLBT first reported MSU’s hiring of Hughes. MSU Athletics confirmed the report Wednesday morning.

If he finds a job somewhere else his pay will start coming form somewhere else. His pay from TSU is like unemployment, he finds another job and poof...

That’s why he’s not going to work. No different than these white coaches. Hell , he should have not agreed to a contract like that. You fire me. I should get paid and still be able to go get money elsewhere. That’s exactly what happens to these CEOs. They double dip. Get a years severance and able to go work immediately somewhere else. Can’t believe he agreed to that. The odds of him getting a job paying him what you guys did is probably not good so he gone milk it. Lol.
