Am I the only African American Sista that luuuvvvs the Planet of The Apes Series? Am I the only one that will be in line on July 27 to view the new one? *setting VCR for the five series that week*
 
No, you ain't the only one who loves the Planet of the Apes series. Nor will you be the only one in line on the 27th. I'll be in line to see this one.
 

Love is a strong word for me. I have watched the series though and probably will watch them again. I dont know about that movie though.:confused:
 
The series were a little weak. And everything after the second movie got a little too wierd. If the Remake follows the Original Theme, it should be AWESOME!

Byron, I'm with ya. I was reading an article where it said it would be slightly different from the original series with more surprises.

Do you think this movie has racial overtones?

I've noticed some of the head gear the apes are wearing in the promos and they seem very close to the double crown worn by the pharaohs of ancient Egypt.
Could Apes be a metaphor?
 
I'm a big planet of the apes fan. I plan on checking this one out for sure.

The series were not up to par with the movies, but that's to be expected.
