Third Down Monday: Why Alcorn State Could Win The SWAC East

yes we've been down bad a long time now...but -

I feel a return to normalcy in the Swac & normalcy is Alcorn being dominate or at least a major player in the conference.

Like I said...if we beat A&M and PV going into the Soul Bowl...we are not losing. Buffalo will show up right on cue.

You aint beating PV...you dont have the talent. They will outscore you.
Its going to be a good game though
BTW, your stats mean nothing because you faced Waters/Warner

BamaState is a different team now from when you guys played them. They blitzed on almost every play. We expected them to do the same with us but they didn't. By the time we figured out how to adjust the game was over.

I'm only concerned with A&M right now though. JSU isn't even on my radar yet.

You put them on there two posts ago when you claimed Alcorn will beat them if they beat AAMU and PV, which makes no sense at all.
Alcorn has choked for 14 consecutive years. If I was a betting man, I know who I'd be betting on and their colors wouldn't have purple in it.

SWAC Football Conference Standing

West

Southern U. 4-2
Prairie View 4-3
Texas Southern 2-5
Arkansas PB 1-5
Grambling 0-6

East

Jackson St 7-0
Alabama State 6-1
Alcorn State 5-1
Alabama A&M 2-5
Mississippi Valley 1-5

**Southern U. probable SWAC West Champions. East too close to call but I will give the nod to Jsu. Prairie View and Alcorn is a toss up (neither defenses will be able to stop the offense) and both teams still are playing for something. S.U. will probably beat Bama State after that Kentucky game.

I agree with everything you said, except that JSU shouldn't have the nod. See, Bama State is head and shoulders better than the entire East, and JSU can't possibly beat Alcorn. So Alcorn will go from the East, after SU beats Bama State.

Look...its a wrap, our team wants the ring more than any other team in the swac....we worked hard for that 7-0, we have unfinished business.

Lol saying ANY team that was not in it last year wants it more than a team that lost is crazy....plus like valley, alcorn has never been. Despite the two losses su has, i can see them being in houston.

I'll ask again...What happens when Comegy has too much time on his hands?

@ rated r...check the record. None of our wins were easy, we had to will ouselves to those wins. @BH when ricardo has too much time on his hands, he eats stamps and relaxes.

JSU must think they are just going to waltz in and out of Huntsville.

Dude if it's one team JSU has mind control over even more than Alcorn it's AAMU...After you guys beat them up we will finish them off. Have you seen the last three games... And those teams actually were average, this team is oh well. No over confidence but the team is focused and they have Senior leadership. Those guys hungry and it shows. No matter what the score they fight till the end.....

I DONT THINK THIS GROUP OF TIGERS IS CONCERN ABOUT WHO THEY PLAY...THEY ARE ON A MISSION
