I wonder if the SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conferance) has it's acronim(sp) copyrighted?

I hope that our SWAC gets in touch with this new SWAC and informs them that they might need to change their conference name. I don't believe any other conference would put up with another conference having the same acronym as them. Could you see the ACC letting the Appalachain (sp) Collegiate Conference (just made up one) get away with calling themselves the ACC.

I believe the SWAC logo is trademarked. You definitely can TRADEMARK acronyms i.e. UPS....United Parcel Service.

If the SWAC logo is not trademarked, then somebody in the SWAC office better get on this like yesterday morning!!!!

And by looking at the location of the schools in this conference, the people in those areas probally never heard of Grambling.

WWE (formally known as WWF-World Wrestling Federation had to change their name because another organization was already called WWF. Something to do with pandas I believe.
