The Worst Something I Have Ever Tasted

You Jackson peeps might remember this place...

Jobie Martin's
:vomit:

Used to be on Lynch Street, next to the old WJMI/WOKJ building... Used to have the greasiest food in town. But my Grand-daddy loved it. Went there all the time.....

Jobie had a commercial for his restaurant, where he'd say, "Come to Jobie's, where the flavor's locked in!!!"

But I'd say, "Come to Jobie's, where the grease is locked in and the flavor is locked out!!!!"

Even the 'iced tea' had grease in it.....
:vomit:

SS & J4J,

What is rutabagas? Never heard of them....I don't think.
Rutabagas come from a plant that looks very similar to a turnip. The part that is eaten is the root. It has an orange colored flesh and its real hard to cut up. You have to boil (cook) it down til it's tender.

don't let these folks fool you. Rutabagas are pretty good.

Apple Butter

It cannot be justified
It goes with nothing
It will not mix with peanut butter
It will make your stomach hurt
It was a cheap way to serve a meal when I was attending daycare.

Apple Butter, tastes great with hot Raisin Bagels !

YUCKY FOODS.....

ONION RINGS-who came up with the idea onions should be battered and fried? :xeye:
COTTAGE CHEESE
EGGPLANT
OKRA- (I used to like it as a kid, but now I hate it)
LIVER
Pickle with peppermint :vomit:-just leave the pickle by itself and the peppermint by itself!
CRABS
LOBSTER
MUSHROOMS
BELL PEPPERS

Eggs ( unless they're in a cake mix...forget about it)
Castor Oil
Cough Syrup (in general)
Coconut
Chitlins (anything that smells that bad shouldn't be eaten)
Dr. Pepper/Iced Tea (tastes like medicine)
Okra

I like most food that is prepared properly. The nastiest stuff I ever had probably had to be some chicken that had no seasoning baked at low heat. The outside was white and it had absolutely no taste what so ever. The person tried to cover up this screw up by chopping an onion and potatos, placing them in the pot also....

YUCK!

This is why I feel most women have no notion of cooking.

Ain't a dayum thang wrong with my taste buds, I just don't like the foods I listed. I eat oranges, but can't bring myself to drink SLIMY ASS orange juice. DAYUM! And strawberries and just :infect: . HATE THEM THE MOST!

Baby Diva: Rutabagas are like turnips, light brownish, orangy color, with a thick skin that you peel like a potato. They are a root and my mother cooks them all the time and she and my father love them but I never liked them as a child or now!
