Apple Butter

It cannot be justified
It goes with nothing
It will not mix with peanut butter
It will make your stomach hurt
It was a cheap way to serve a meal when I was attending daycare.

U got me there md...

The worst something for me was:

1. Castor Oil
2. Liver(except the gravy)
3. Rapsberry Jelly
4. Sour belly(as my late father in law would call it) looks just like bacon!

Tomatoes/Tomato juice (teachers use to make us drink it in kindergarten)
Castor Oil
Green Beans
Corona Beer

 Well try it this way, MightyDog:

1 box of vanilla wafers
1 jar of apple butter
1 carton of cool whip
1 jar of maraschino cherries

Spoon equal amounts of apple butter and cool whip into a bowl. Mix. Dip wafers in mixture and stack on plate (3 to 4 high). Frost cookie stacks with extra frosting and smooth nicely. Top with 1/2 cherry. Let stand at least 2 hours--better yet, overnight. 2 stacks per serving. Very rich.

Now, the worst thing I have ever tasted is that creole or cajun cooking. Creole and cajun cooking might be two different things, I am not sure. I am talking about dirty rice :vomit: gumbo :vomit: boodan (sp) :vomit: etc.

Chitlins (oh mi goodness-nasty)

666 (it's a cough syrup devoid of any trace amount of anything that could make it taste good, and looked combustible)

OMG... You are the ONLYperson I have met that knew about 666, man when I was sick, all it would take was my grandmother to say 666 and I would get better, sometimes I would "fake well" not to take that crap...

But I can't forget Father John's that crap was nasty also.

:vomit:

It must be a Chicago thing.

She is not the only one that know's the horrors of 666.

The nastiest thing I've tasted is that orange flavored medicine I'd have to take when I was a kid. Talk about nasty.

Now two items I will not eat is Chitlins and anything prepared with Mayo. I can't get past the smell of Chitlins or any kind of "salad" with mayo in it. (potato salad, chicken salad, tuna, etc)

I agree the 666 was nasty, but Father's John was okay to me. Heck, it was probably 3rd on the list of "tasty" medicine. 1) The Bayer Children's Asprin 2)Flintstone Vitamins 3)Father John's

Nothing wrong with some good, hot chitlins either!

Not many foods that I would consider just downright horrible (maybe I'm just greedy  )

maybe cooked spinach
couscous (the texture of that stuff :smh:
buttermilk :vomit:

Man, that was poetic. Like Dr Seuss ;)

I'll second or third or fourth on the chitlins. There ain't no convincing me this was supposed to be for human consumption. :infect:

YOu just don't know how to use it. Apple Butter is the snit with some hot homemade biscuits.

But you will never get me to eat chitlins......

666 & castor oil would make be :vomit: all over the place.
I hate Liver & Beets too.....

Liver is the worst. It be looking so good, but when I bite it, UGH!!!
Beets runs a distant seconds.
Okra

Fortitude,

Haven't I seen you woofing down a coupla bratwurst's at a tailgate???

Man, some of you dont know good cookin if it smacked you.

"Cajun, creole, chittlens, beets, crab meat, etc..." :shame:

Now, that spinach, castor oil, and liver is something else, but chittlens is a "Southern" delicacy. :shame:

SS,

What kind of taste buds do you have? Are you talking about the imitation crab meat or the actual meat itself? :emlaugh:

GUL: My Auntie Barbara can fix rutabagas in a way that would have you calling for more. As a child, I HATED them. I still do...but she fixed some in the last few years that had shrimp tails in it...I never thought I'd eat that stuff. I don't know what's wrong with crabmeat and strawberries especially with sugar on them and I LOVE OJ with breakfast in the morning. Did you have your tastebuds cut out? :lmao:

1) Chitlins

2) Milk - :vomit:

3) Cottage Cheese

4) Liver - like Rob said, it looks like some good steak, but when you eat it..... :vomit: My grandmother used to make it with onions and green peppers.

5) Can Peas - I can only eat frozen peas.

6) Polish Sausage - Just thinking about a pollish or a bratwurst makes me queezy. I got food poisioning from Krogers pollish (the one on Jordan and the Parkway) my senior year at AAMU in 99/00. I havent looked at a pollish since then.

Y'all gone make me go by one of these soul food joints for some good ole chittlins. I can eat them thangs all day.

SS & J4J,

What is rutabagas? Never heard of them....I don't think.

I must say the worst thing I've ever tasted was Castor Oil. The only bad food I can think of is beets & chitlins'. :vomit:
