Raleigh downtown developers seek HBCU merger, says trustee
A leader at an HBCU in Raleigh says the city's two schools are being pushed to merge in a behind-the-scenes power struggle.

I am not surprise by this, but it seems like the developers target is Shaw's Campus, since they are in the heart of downtown Raleigh. (30 acres) compared to where St. Aug is at in downtown. I am glad the person with St. Aug made this public.
I would like to point out that Raleigh has three PWI universities in North Carolina State, William Peace University, and Meredith College (women only). Also, there is the forever expanding Wake Community College too.
