The Truth...

It's some great points in here on both sides.

I honestly think LA should've won by atleast 20 in this one (or, kept the game between that 20-30 spread). All that momentum and they didn't blow the Celts out of there like they should've last night. Not on the strentgh of point spread...but, the fact that the Celts played nowhere near what Ive seen in the playoffs, and I saw nothing but correctable mistakes.

MB...somewhat has a point about a must-win for LA. On one hand it might sound dilusional...but, does LA really want to go into a weeks worth of being in Boston for 3...only tied at a game a piece? That's one game the Celts should've been blown out in, but wasn't...a win in LA...and, three on the home court. That's alot of uphill for LA who's known to show a lack of want-to as a group.

They only see "hate" when someone mentions something that's opposite of their "want it to be"...

I have told folks that I enjoy the Lakers losing... partly because their fans fail to admit that they can be had, even when they got ripped in 08 the excuses never stopped.

Now about the Matchups... Don't read too much into a game 1 outcome at home. Kobe had his usual good game...the key is to not let him be so comfortable. The best way to do that now is to make him revert back to his "I have to do it myself" mindset. Granted he's matured and focused to the point that he doesn't go that route anymore. That has long been his ONLY weakness because on the court he really has no limits or weaknesses. He can defend and he can score...the key is to make him work hard at both.

What allowed him to be comfortable last night is that his "bigs" performed well AND Boston couldn't take advantage of Fisher on Ray Allen (except for early in the game) due to Allen picking up quick fouls and some of them were phantom calls. But you are right...it is all about matchups. In Boston, Ray Allen doesn't get those fouls... Garnett attacks Gasol more on the Block (defensively and offensively) and Artest gets the foul calls against him.

Granted Artest played well...but I'm missing the part where he did such a good job on Pierce. I think Pierce actually should have been more active and Doc Rivers should have use the screen roll with him more. As I predicted...he had lots of trip to the line and scored 12 of 13 from the line and was 6/13 from the floor. He just needs to be more assertive...but in all honesty, credit the Lakers for executing well - it was there night.

Gramfan... We cool bruh and although I don't like the Lakers, I don't put them down for what they do well. However, yall can't deal with it when their flaws are pointed out. I think because yall know them to be true.

Yall best win game 2 or you're right...it won't come back to LA, I don't think it will go 7 if it does.

Mike, excuses are the way the fanboy does business...You notice you don't see cats like players mixing in with their ilk? They understand that being a lakers fan and being a "Stan" for a single player are not one in the same.

It's just funny observing it all...*lol*

Man, he beat Mike Finley. Finley is waaaaaay past being a legit NBA player.

Its Ironic that you say that now, cause earlier you said

The key in my eyes is the bench (Coaching) and sub players. I give Boston the edge there

But I guess you can change up your opinion day to day since its not really YOUR opinion anyway.

So let us get this straight....

Dont worry about we saw in the game (cause it was only the ACTUAL GAME), worry about the crap you continue to entertain us with (and it is entertainment). Im going to put this in the same league and the "magic had no help" comments. Seems to me you think your comments will help you to your goal, enjoying watching the Lakers lose. But you dont have to continue to make yourself look bad. sheeesh

Yes, it can...but I was talking about the bench guys that play. You know that though.

Whose bench played the best tonight? I thought so...

I didn't see it
I have a life
I was at a bbq while posting on smalltalk
The ball just didn't bounce our way
It just wasn't my boys day
I think fisher is sleeping with kobes momma

You lie...never said that. You make this shit up to save face or what?

Bynum and Gasol could have used a little help.

Uuuh mb

Really? You didn't say "magic had no help"
So Eventhough that's a DIRECT quote from you, you are denying you said that? Maybe it was taken out of context. Or maybe you have realized just how ridiculous that sounds. Please don't make me go find that crap again. Just admit your laker hate got the best of you and you were typing simply out of hate

No "excuses" here...Just interested in GR's basketball accumen. I just want to know what our resident 'expert' saw?

go find it...

You might think gr is stupid but THEGREATONE is not. You know that's what you said you know that's exactly what you wrote. I even quoted exactly from what you wrote on the sports board. If you are so adamant about me finding it again you must have deleted it....otherwise you wouldnt be so bold.

So if you are going sit here and deny something you said....so be it. GR will take the high road on this one too. Sheeesh

Couldn't find it huh? Too bad "make believe" from your mind isn't printable...

Boy it sholl is a lot of dumb shyt being said in here....

Blade and MB....I started that early thread for a reason....I analyzed all this shyt before this series started...

Doc...has all the match ups he need to counter any thing LA throws on the floor...it been that way...these two teams in the best of 7 will always been in Boston favor...

Boston plays text book basketball....they spread the floor and pass the ball around till they finnd their highest percentage shot....that hard to beat with an unconventional team...

Sorry I see these things before most.... y'all told me it was too soon when I predicted my Saints were going to the superbowl.....

I tend to look at the whole league and if I see where my team is obviously better than the rest I will speak....but I am a realist too...if I see just 1 team I know in my heart will hand my team their ass I shut up and keep it moving....

This explains why I speak on SU Band as much....ain't nothing out there that's better..

You might think gr is stupid

Mane, there are just too many ways to go on that one in regards to basketball... :emlaugh:

Meh, I guess I'll take the high road (thanks GR) onthis statement too...*lol*

Wouldnt dare look for it.
Ima take the high road on this one...we can both pretend you never said "Magic had no help."

This must be a Baton Rouge thing

Lewis send help

You pretend to take the high road is what you mean... c'mon son, this is MB you're dealing with. And don't put that BR thing on me... BR is cool, but I was formed in that Norf/Central Louisiana Delta. Country smart as a mofo... Don't play.

Go find the quote...(you gonna be gone awhile after tonite anyway).

Repeat of 08 here we go....

Celtics bench is still better than LA's....Bynum is suspect...Gasol is still soft...Odom is still soft and has gone hollywood....Fisher couldn't handle Rajon...and it will be worse because Rajon is much better now...still no one to keep up with Ray Allen...no one hard enough to deal with Kg,.PP will have his way again...Rasheed will hold Gasol down with ease...

Celtic in 5 easy!

:shame:
